X Factor 2 Top 8 – Powerlist and Predictions

Here’s my prediction for tonight’s leaderboard. CeCe Frey has finally run out of miracles, methinks she may not even sing tonight (meaning, she’ll be eliminated immediately with the lowest votes).

There will be a shuffle at the top. After Vino Allen’s  sabotage  thrown under the bus poor song decision via LA Reid, I think he’ll be knocked out of the Top 3 by Emblem3, who are becoming more and more the boy band that Simon Cowell envisions them to be. And frankly, it’s the only way the boys will make it into the finals. Now Simon has to put together a video package where the boys save some drowning puppies. They still come off as douches.

Putting on my conspiracy theory hat for a second–I have to wonder if LA and Simon colluded to bus Vino.  What’s in it for LA?  Ditching Vino would bolster his favorite, Tate Stevens.  I can’t imagine Simon wants TWO overs in the final. He’s really gunning to get HIS fave, Emblem 3 in there.  So…smell you later, Vino!

Fifth Harmony had a solid performance last night, so they may even sneak into 4th place ahead of Vino. I think those two spots are interchangeable.

Diamond White and Paige Thomas will sing off to be saved, and who will reign victorious is anyone’s guess. I think it will probably be Diamond. Why not save her again? Paige has been too much of a bottom dweller since the finals began for the panel to take another shot at her. If she were as polarizing and lulzworthy as CeCe maybe the judges would re-consider. But, she’s not.

1. Carly Rose
2. Tate Stevens
3. Emblem3
4. Fifth Harmony
5. Vino Allan
6. Diamond White
7. Paige Thomas
8. CeCe Frey

Here’s how things shook out in the online poll: Whoa, we’ve got some CeCe love up in here! No love for Vino at all.

1. Carly Rose – Rolling in the Deep – 44.2%
2. Tate Stevens – Somebody Like You – 12.16%
3. Fifth Harmony – Stronger – 12.07%
4.  CeCe Frey – Lady Marmalade – 11.7%
5. Emblem3 – I’m A Believer – 8.45%
6. Paige Thomas – Never Going to Give You Up – 7.8%
7. Diamond White – 2.32%
8. Vino Allan – You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling – 1.3%

One of my family members did own power rankings:

    #1 Tate, #2 Carly, #3 Emblem 3, #4 Diamond, #5 Vino, #6 5th Harmony, #7 Paige, #8 CeCe

We’ll see who came closer to final results – MJ or my relative.

  • fantoo1

I actually think Diamond or 5th Harmony are strong possibilities for leaving, along with Paige and Cece.

  • thedeviledadvocate

    Based on last night

    1. Carly outstanding as always

    2. Tate pretty good

    3. Emblem 3 pretty cheesy, but entertaining

    4. CeCe she may hang around another week

    5. Fifth Harmony Great song, okay performance

    6. Diamond so-so

    7. Vino no-no

    8. Paige go-go

    I’m predicting

    8th place- Diamond White
    7th place- Paige Thomas
    6th place- Fifth Harmony
5th place- (my “if it isn’t Fifth Harmony in the sing off…) Cece Frey
    4th place- Vino Alan
    3rd place- Emblem 3
    2nd place- Carly Rose
    1st place- Tate Stevens

    I’m predicting (with this):
LA votes to send home Fifth Harmony
Britney votes to send home Paige Thomas
Demi votes to send home Fifth Harmony
Simon votes to send home Paige Thomas

our first DEADLOCK of the season.

I thoroughly enjoyed Paige last night, first time I’ve been able to say that since the live shows started. She should not be in the bottom.

CeCe should have went home weeks ago and tonight, I believe she finally will. Vino should be in the bottom and vocally, Diamond shouldn’t be there, but I suspect she will since she performed first. Fifth Harmony are contenders for the bottom as well.

Carly for the top spot AGAIN, she is the only contestant that hasn’t let me down once since the live shows started.

My prediction is very similar. I think Cece will be the instant elimination. Paige and Diamond will sing off. And I think it will go to deadlock vote with Simon/Britney voting Diamond and L.A/Demi voting Paige. Unfortunately, being as though she went 1st; I think Diamond will be voted off. With each judge having two “how convenient cough cough” contestants left. I can’t see Simon and his ego losing an act before, Demi and Britney do. No way Simon only has one act in Top 6.

    My predictions:
    1. Tate Stevens – I feel like he has a lot of cross-over appeal with Vino, and between Vino’s awful performance and the hostility between him and L.A. Reid over the song choice that they should in his intro, Vino probably lost a lot of support this week.
    2. Carly Rose – Fairly obvious, since she’s hands down the most talented person on this show (unless Khloe’s awkwardness is entirely an act and she’s really not that strange and robotic in real life, in which case she deserves an Oscar).
    3. 5th Harmony – Between Emblem3’s lackluster performance (Demi and Britney were right!! Suck it, Simon!) and Vino’s awful night coupled with the sob story we got this week and their first really solid and entertaining performance, I think the girls hop up to 3rd.
    4. Diamond White – In a *very* close 4th.  She was fun and she’s just so loveable.  I don’t think this girl will win, or even make it to the finals, but I would be shocked if Nick and Disney didn’t both try to snatch her up for a TV deal (probably Nick, since they’re ending iCarly and Victorious and will have trouble finding two similarly successful shows).
    5. Emblem3 – They will be incredibly close to Diamond White (and could come in 4th instead of 5th), but I think their poor performance, the obviously faked “mobbed by girls” clip, and their overall arrogance (Drew is killing them!  He needs to keep his shirt on and stop doing pushups.  And would it kill him to smile??) will really hurt them.
    6. Vino Alan – It will all be L.A. Reid’s fault.  I kind of hope that he flips out when he has to participate in the sing off and we can get rid of him.  This guy is talented, but he’s never going to be a pop star.  At least Tate can take a spot with Keith Urban, Toby Keith, et. al. atop the country charts.
    7. CeCe Frey – The people who have been voting to keep her in lately will continue to vote for her, and on top of that, I think she will pick up a lot of support for her “If I’m going down, I’m going down fighting” attitude.  A lot of her early fans have seemed disappointed that Demi transformed her and she lost her edge.
    8. Paige Thomas – I really liked Paige this week, and I genuinely hope that I’m wrong and she beats out CeCe Frey and Vino Alan, but I don’t see it happening.

  • girlygirltoo

I think CeCe is a goner (unless people are voting for her because of the “entertainment” value), and Vino and either Paige or Diamond will have the sing off. Fifth Harmony might have been in trouble, but I have a feeling they may have gotten some sympathy votes since that one girl’s granddad died

  • samuelgrant

I don’t think CeCe will be eliminated right away. However, I would not be surprised in the least to find her in the sing-off. I just believe her fans were too furious last night to possibly stop voting during the 2 hours after the show.

Shoker tonight!  Diamond and Vino going home

  • kmd23

Well they did a pretty good job throwing Vino under the bus last night so it would not surprise me. lol

  • KatMyers

    Hmmmm …

KhloéKardashianOdom ?@KhloeKardashianI’m a little worried that everyone did so well last night, tonight’s elimination will be a shock! #xfactor

I wonder if this means there’s a shocker or if KKO is drumming up fake suspense.  Hope she’s right though – CeCe FTW!

I also think that Cece is done, because what was saving her were the fans of the old Cece who now are disppointed and lsot their hopes. However, is she escapes the last spot and face Vino on the bottom two, she’ll be safe. Anyone beats vino on a sing-off. lol

  • shell29

Putting on my conspiracy theory hat for a second–I have to wonder if LA and Simon colluded to bus Vino.

That’s the impression I got last night MJ.  The way L.A. was acting when voicing his “support” of Vino after his performance just didn’t seem completely “genuine” to me.  That plus the video package they aired prior to his performance and the way he gushed over Emblem3 makes me think L.A. helped out a bit with the bussing.
It will be interesting to see if it worked.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/XDQP2Y46M5B3OHOKALDDGDHQCM Leandro

I think she doesn’t know anything. I mean, what a big risk to tell previously the results to Khloe. She’s definitely no Ryan Secrest. lol

  • http://twitter.com/dam744 Damien Roberts

I don’t know if that would be all that shocking to me.

  • thedeviledadvocate

My prediction earlier was pretty close, I had only the 4th and 5th place reversed. Simon pushed really hard for Emblem 3 this week, but still couldn’t knock off Carly and Tate.
