I can’t even tick on this poll; all 3 were justified finalists.  I truly love ALL 3 reprise performances.  Its been a great season and a very enjoyable and entertaining finals.

I think the guys were the best “singers”, but Cassaddee is too gorgeous and can be made current. So that’s show business. :)  I guess this show will deliver a girl winner, but I don’t think her vocals are that stellar.

I won’t be mad if any of the Final 3 wins.  All are deserving, but I voted for Terry!  When the camera aimed at his wife, she didn’t look very happy after his performances.  What’s up with that?

I wished Terry would’ve picked a more epic rock solo song instead.  Loved his duet with Blake with Adam on guitar, but thought a more famous rock classic would get more votes!

Wanted Nicholas to sing a more soulful solo, but his duet with Ceelo was super fun.

Wished Cassadee picked a more alternative or pop rock song instead of country.

Someone posted a comment that Terry was injected with steroids?  Why?

I guess he was sick and had a steroid shot for medical purposes. A steroid shot will quickly reduce the inflammation in your sinuses or for a swollen throat.

cas will win as she pretty female with huge fan base  thts why they need to change voting process esp in semis and finals   if all things wer equal nicholas would win going away not only is he most talented of 3 but he needs it alot more and his humility so unusual  in this competiton cas is an arrogant b……..

I find it exciting that an attractive woman is receiving anger that she might win lol. I didn’t realize pretty girls had it so easy on these shows!

With Amanda and Melanie out the show was kinda boring for me.

That said I thought Cassadee had the best night and I do believe she is the
most marketable and no that isn’t just looks.  She has the charisma and charm.  I know humility is highly valued among the voting demo, but it isn’t one that is required to be a recording super star.

I totally agree. It was rough when my two favorites were knocked out at once, haha. It shot down my level of investment with the show, but the remaining people ARE all good for different reasons.

And I do think with Terry and Nicholas as the finals competition though, Cassadee probably has a pretty straight shot at the title. With different finals opponents, the outcome might have been a bit more muddled.

I agree.  She is the most marketable, but not my favorite.

Of the three, Cassadee is the most marketable, but I wonder if she’s just going to get lost in a sea of other artists who are pretty similar to her. I see nothing all that unique about her. She’s pretty, she sings well, but what makes her stand out from all the other pretty girls who sing well who already have record deals? I don’t know if there is anything that will separate her from the crowd. Unless she gets handed a great single, in which case all bets are off. :)  And it still seems to me like they are trying to make her into a country-pop artist, given the songs she has been performing week after week. I know she says she wants to be a pop/rock artist, but that doesn’t seem to be what TPTB see her as. She obviously has a strong fanbase though, which seems to be something the first 2 winners of The Voice lacked, so maybe she’ll do ok commercially when she releases her music. I would assume she will get better promo than the first 2 winners received.

Anyway, if the iTunes rankings count in the final voting, she has the title in the bag. She probably does even without the iTunes votes.

First-half 2013 is when we find out if Universal Republic or whatever it’s called now has learned the importance of A&R in launching a viable career for a reality-show winner.

If Pope’s first post-show single is a generic country-pop pseudo-coronation song about how riding the wild horses of ambition mended her heart on the trail to her dreams, her chances will be poor. The longer the release of that kind of drek is delayed, the worse her chances.

Giving her a solid, distinctive song with real radio appeal doesn’t guarantee anything, but at least it would give her promo team something to work with.

I find it amusing (and funny) sometimes that people in the bubble don’t seem to realize that these days, it’s not whether the artist is marketable or relevant or whatnot, but it’s the song that make or break it. Get these people the right song that becomes a hit, then they will become a hit. Nobody really knows Bruno Mars before. if you see him, the first thing in your mind is how average he seems. His singing isn’t that great either. But look at where he is now. A year ago, people had been putting Carly Rae Jepsen off as a nobody who just happens to finish high in Canadian Idol, probably marketable but just a pretty face, can’t really sing that well, nothing makes her stand out. Then bam comes Call Me Maybe. I can give you tons of examples of how a song make an artist of the present, but let’s just say they are pretty much everywhere, reality show or not.

A right song, a hit song can get you in the right track no matter who you are, and whether or not you can continue from that is a story for another era.
