Kelly Clarkson continues to top the HAC chart, but has been pushed out of the top of Pop by last week’s Idol guests The Wanted. Although she has lost her bullet on HAC, she could continue to top that chart for a few more weeks because she has a commanding lead and the chart is quite slow moving.

Jennifer Hudson, who will be appearing on Idol this week to sing “Think Like a Man” has pushed the song into the top 20 on UAC. The song is the title track from a movie that will be released on April 20th.

The rest of the milestones this week are on HAC. Season 4′s Daughtry’s second single, “Outta My Head” from their third album goes top 40 in the format. CI Season 5′s Carly Rae Jepson goes top 50 with her US debut single “Call me Maybe”. And Season 8 winner Kris Allen’s “The Vision of Love” is his debut single of his second album and it goes top 50.

With CaseyJ the label’s definitely going to ride that one as long as it shows signs it can still grow. There are stations that are moving it up in rotation now and I definitely see it making t20 within the next 3 weeks. The label will get a sense of how willing stations are to move it into higher rotation than t20, and squeeze every last inch of airplay they can get out of LDCIAN. Because when you finally let LDCIAN go, even if radio likes the 2nd single better, it’ll take a while to replace that level of airplay. But, if LDCIAN makes t20, it will have fulfilled its primary function which is give CaseyJ something to build on at radio, which the label hopes will set up the next single and help build some sales legs.
As far as predicting how much longer LDCIAN can hang on, I think it still has 4-6 weeks of gains left in it and maybe even 2 more months of gains. I don’t know how high it’ll peak but there’s a chance of t15. So, the prediction by aidancash1 of a new single in a couple months (maybe a little more) seems right on to me.

You sound pretty sure that LDCIAN will make the top 20. After seeing what has happen with this Tim & Kenny duet I ve been wonder if that duet might not have killed LDCIAN chances. I guess we’ll see what happens this week, I hope Casey can make the top 20.

From what I can see here, it looks like TTWG received 12 adds the very first week which includes 1 Canadian add.  I sorted the add history with the earliest add date at the top.  The adds always start (for all formats) on a clean slate each Wednesday.  The first Monday of the month, (which was September), was Labor Day and so you will notice that the majority of those adds came in on Tuesday (9/6).

    Thanks!
That is pretty nice for Scotty then to get more adds then the last time.

Scotty continues to do real well.  I knew it!  Loving seeing all of these idols charting, sorta makes me laugh when folk say they are not relevant, lol.  Although someone said the other day, country doesn’t count…..but it does!  Sad to see Free moving so slowly, but I must admit I didn’t love the performance on the show, but I listened from a link someone posted and fell in love with it.  So go Haley!

I’ve been wrong before I don’t think LDCIAN has come so far and fought through such tough chart circumstances to flame out (or be allowed to flame out) before it makes t20, and I don’t think the K/T stinkbomb will ultimately change its peak. Starting this week K/T will act more like just a huge single that took up a spot in t20 rotation before CaseyJ got there. I see some increased rotation at big market stations as a sign of faith LDCIAN will make t20 eventually.

Tonight’s BCU will give us more of an idea of how bad last week was. Last week was obviously messed up because of K/T but I don’t see it as indicative of where things are trending.

That is true the song still has adds and there are still big stations increasing their spins. Casey mostly lost AI because of the big Dial Global channel. I guess it is always hard to think that thing will go back to normal again, but they usually do in the end. He just has to hold on a bit.

Wow, twitter is on fire with people tweeting their radio stations pics of water towers:))  They can actually be more entertaining than you think…there’s a giant golf ball, wine glass, apple, and peach *butt, see Gaffney, SC   http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attachments/south-carolina/59678d1302912860-question-you-lappers-gaffney-_sc_water_tower.jpg

There’s your smile for the day, if the numbers weren’t enough:)

Casey has gained more the 0.5 AI on billboard, that is much better then what I was expecting, he has over the 10 million AI now at Billboard.

But there is very bad news, I dont see Lauren on Billboard.

All this tweeting is making me wish I had a water tower … :P

ETA: Now Scotty is tweeting thanks to the stations that added WTT! What a smart fellow.

According to Billboard’s Country Update this week, Lauren’s “Georgia Peaches” has gone recurrent on the main Billboard country chart. So it looks like GP will have peaked at #30 on Billboard.

Also, Billboard said Scotty has the 8th best-selling country album this year selling 141,000 units.

Kris and Katy’s marriage is none of my business.  And even if it were, I don’t know enough about either one of them to speculate on the decisions they make.  I did, however, buy the video on itunes today!  Yay!
