Kris Allen‘s Out Alive tour settled in San Francisco for Valentines Day on Thursday. His fan-requested cover of the night was a beautiful acoustic rendition of the classic Elvis Presley tune, “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”

The season 8 American Idol winner dedicated the tune to his pregnant wife, Katy, who was sitting in the audience. Awwww…

    I’ve never been a fan of Elvis, but I’ve always thought this and Twelfth of Never were his best songs.  Kris does a really nice interpretation of this song.  I’m assuming the estate was pleased with it also since the link was tweeted to the estate and whoever runs that, retweeted it to lord knows how many Elvis followers.   Also I thought telling the world how in love he is with Katy and how beautiful she looks pregnant was very touching.  What a class act he is.

    I’ve always loved this song & Kris’s low mellow voice suits this song really well. Loved the harmonies. How great that Katy could be there with him .
