Justin Guarini & Wife Reina Welcome a New Son!

Via People:

Season 2 runner up, Justin Guarini and his wife, Reina Capodici welcomed a son, William Neko Bell Guarini, at 6:26 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26!

William Neko weighed in at 7 lbs., 2 oz. and joins big sister Lola, 5, from Capodici’s prior relationship.

“Quite a polite fellow for waiting until late Monday, early Tuesday to make his entrance,” Guarini tells PEOPLE, who just wrapped his role in American Idiot on Sunday evening.

“With a full head of curly brown hair, wide open and alert eyes he came charging into the world.”

“Reina is doing wonderfully and should be given a medal for going 10 months and 1 week with child,” he adds.

“She performed beautifully and only had to push for 15-20 minutes before the babe arrived. We’re resting comfortably in the hospital and can’t wait to introduce him to his big sister (who was asleep for the whole experience) when visiting hours commence.”

Congrats to the happy family!

10 months and 1 week and she had a 7lb baby? I think they may have been a little off with her due date! Or, am I reading that wrong. Either way…yay for Justin.

I wasn’t watching Idol back then but I remember the “To Kelly from Justin” debacle which was from Season 1, right?

Congrats to Justin and his family! I didn’t know Justin in his season but have admired his work with TV Guide as a very pleasant interviewer always respecting all of the Idol contestants.
I hope his Broadway and music career are fruitful for him.

I couldn’t help but picture a mini him when he said his son had brown curly hair.

There are a few inaccuracies in this, but they’re also in every other article, so I’ll let you slide on everything except the “Season 2 runner up” part. ;)

Umm, Justin came in second to Kelly Clarkson in Season 1.

    Congrats to him and Reina!

Normal gestation is 10 months, so I guess the baby was a week overdue.
