‘America’s Got Talent’ Finalists A Menace To New York Hotel – “America’s Got Talent” finalists The Untouchables — that sweet group of adorable kids — were almost thrown out of their NYC hotel this week after raising hell and creating chaos … TMZ has learned. Multiple sources tell us … the hotel was flooded with complaints from guests who claim the dance squad — composed of kids ranging between the ages of 8 and 13 — were causing all sorts of noise and even throwing objects out of their windows. We’re told the hotel threatened to boot the kids from the premises … but “AGT” producers swooped in at the last minute and begged management to let them stay. The hotel agreed, but made it clear — if they heard one more complaint from other guests, the group would be forced to hit the road. – Read more at TMZ

A little bit more from the @ChartShowTV:twitter people on Kelly’s upcoming Greatest Hits:

@KCAustralia There wasn’t much more info…..but there will be new material on it too :)

@KCAustralia before Xmas from what they were saying!

heartly: Good call on the potential to put a true crossover song on there.  With recent events and if the timing is right, I wouldn’t doubt it.  It also wouldn’t shock me in the least if Kelly re-upped with RCA, especially with the new regime in place.

IMO the more interesting thing about her new record deal (when it comes) might be how much flexibility it gives Kelly and the label to pursue targeted promo for different kinds of songs. I feel like the deal, if everybody involved is forward thinking enough, will have a different structure to it. Not as far as time or albums involved but as far as affiliations within the label.

I don’t see Kelly signing with a country label because Kelly’s said she wouldn’t go full blown country because she’d lose parts of herself if she did. But, she and Narvel probably want the flexibility of releasing/promoting crossover songs and maybe some full out country songs. I expect Kelly’ll keep a base in pop but a long term commitment to CHR-style pop is also something I think she’d find stifling. But, it’s not something she wants to give up as long as she can work it like she is. IMO she’d love to do some AAA friendly singer/songwriter type songs, I still believe this girl’s got a swampy Marc Broussardish soul album in her (TBQH that’s actually the album I want to hear the most), and maybe she’ll want to get back in touch with her rock side too. So, IMO the important thing in any new deal is Kelly having the flexibility to express different parts of her musical soul and the label having the ability to mobilize the right people to promote different songs to different markets when the time is right.

After the way things have gone with Stronger I do feel it’s way more likely Kelly’s new deal will be with a major by choice rather than indie by choice.

heartly: I’m out of the loop (actually, I don’t bother myself with the worry
of it) on what they’re doing with the singles off of Stronger.  In that
recent Billboard article, she said they were basically in a holding
pattern with DS at the moment and pulling back on a 4th for awhile.  If,
big IF, this GH package is a holiday release, I could see them just
riding DS out and calling it a day on Stronger the album and moving on
to something off the GH within the next couple months.

ITA and with the new info from ChartShowTV it seems likely that’s what’ll happen. Maybe some untapped single potential left on Stronger but, I’m excited to hear new songs.

I just bought a ticket, too, though it will be in the middle of the night for me (I mean REALLY in the middle of the night – 3 a.m. *yikes*).
    I just hope I don’t oversleep it.

  • irockhard

Damn! I definitely won’t be able to catch this one, plus my internet connection isn’t stable enough for live streams, the DC gig that I watched live was painful to watch due to all the buffering.

  • shamrock

    It’s a pity but understandable.

My connection normally is pretty stable, but I am not sure if I made a wise decision, as I already fell asleep at midnight, while starting up the laptop for the DC gig. LOL. I am not getting younger. *rolleyes*

  • justmefornow

All these issues with being outside the US.
If you both were true fans you’d move here ;)

  • heartly

I have nothing to add to that, just wanted to say that I’m pretty much in agreement with everything you said.
