Carrie Underwood likes ‘gory’ horror flicks, says Mike Fisher – Mike, a star of the Nashville Predators, was at the premiere of the scary thriller “After” in Cool Springs Sunday night. And Mike said Carrie is way better at horror movies than he is. “She grew up on horror movies, believe it or not,” Mike said. “She likes as gory as it gets, and all that stuff. “She never covers her eyes. That would be me.” Mike and his head coach, Barry Trotz, were among several celebs at the screening last night of the new movie by Middle Tennessee filmmaker Ryan Smith, son of Christian artist Michael W. On ‘The Voice,’ ‘The X Factor,’ ‘Idol,’ superstars want to create stars – On NBC’s “The Voice,” which opens Season 3 tonight (8 ET/PT), Christina Aguilera leads an all-star panel of coaches. Fox’s “The X Factor,” which returns for its second season Wednesday (8 ET/PT), has retooled, adding Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as judges. And Fox’s “American Idol” will come back in January with pop diva Mariah Carey (once courted by X Factor) and likely other marquee names. The on-screen arms race doesn’t even count the bounty of performers, from Rihanna (X Factor) to Katy Perry (Idol), who have made guest appearances. “There is nothing going on. Niall’s my friend,” the 20-year-old X Factor judge told E! News today at a junket for the Fox show, which has its second-season premiere on Wednesday. Lest you forget, Lovato and Horan, whose lad band picked up a leading three Moonmen at the MTV Video Music Awards last week, are both part of the X Factor family (which explains why the 18-year-old was tweeting both Lovato and L.A. Simon Cowell, Sony Unveil X Headphones – LONDON – Simon Cowelli s pushing into the business of high-end headphones, in which Dr. Dre has been so successful. The X Factor creator and judge has unveiled a line of X Headphones that Syco Entertainment, his joint venture with Sony Corp.’s Sony Music Entertainment, will distribute with Sony. The $299 product, which looks to combine audio performance and style, will be showcased at the U.S. season premiere event for X Factor in LA on Tuesday and be featured in episodes of the music competition throughout the season as official headphone partner. ‘America’s Got Talent’ Finalists A Menace To New York Hotel – “America’s Got Talent” finalists The Untouchables — that sweet group of adorable kids — were almost thrown out of their NYC hotel this week after raising hell and creating chaos … TMZ has learned. Multiple sources tell us … the hotel was flooded with complaints from guests who claim the dance squad — composed of kids ranging between the ages of 8 and 13 — were causing all sorts of noise and even throwing objects out of their windows. We’re told the hotel threatened to boot the kids from the premises … but “AGT” producers swooped in at the last minute and begged management to let them stay. The hotel agreed, but made it clear — if they heard one more complaint from other guests, the group would be forced to hit the road. – Read more at TMZ
