Carrie Underwood Laughs Off Persistent Pregnancy Rumors

“As soon as you get married that happens,” Carrie tells Detroit radio station WYCD of speculation that she is pregnant. “We did the CMT Artists of the Year special, and they had all these celebrity chefs come in from the Food Network … The food was great, but after the chefs were done they all sat back and had a few. Afterwards I got to meet them, and a guy was bombed. He said, ‘So did you just have a baby?’ I said, ‘You do not ever ask a woman if she just had a baby. Do I look like I just had a baby?’ … He got in trouble, and I took his drink away.”

Katie Couric Will Dance During ‘Glee’ Super Bowl Episode

Katie Couric will come out from behind her CBS news desk and throw on her dancing shoes for the post-Super Bowl episode of “Glee.” The anchorwoman, who previously expressed disappointment about a GQ photo spread featuring the show’s stars earlier this year, will perform a dance number to the tune of “Tea for Two,” according to Jane Lynch.

“I haven’t shot with her yet, but yeah, she’s going to be in our Super Bowl episode,” the “Glee” actress told “Access Hollywood” over the weekend. “She’s also doing a dance with [Matthew Morrison]. She’ll be doing ‘Tea for Two.’ ”

Tyler Disses Kid Rock Over “Idol” Slam

At Sunday night’s Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C., it was apparent that the feud between Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and Kid Rock over Tyler’s “American Idol” judging gig shows no signs of letting up: Tyler ignored Kid Rock the entire evening, TooFab has learned.

A source tells TooFab that Sunday’s soiree “was the first time they had seen each other since Kid Rock had dissed Steven for going on ‘American Idol.’ But Steven didn’t make his way across the room when he saw Kid Rock. He ignored him.”

Ryan is on twitter now tweeting up a storm. It must have been killing him. lol.

That whole campaign was so poorly planned.

LOL, they got a billionaire to pay for their return to twitter, how pathetic.

Exactly what I was thinking! This still doesn’t sweep under the rug the stupid premise of the campaign, though. These damn celebrities….

  • Grammie Kari

Very sweet photo of Chris with his twin babies!

I hope Nigel is paying attention to the guest judges Simon will have on X-Factor. It is great that Idol will have Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler; however, having just Jimmy mentor may seem a bit boring. Now, if he brings in some top talent in producers – maybe it will work. OK, I will I admit I will miss the mentors!

Simon and Nigel are not in direct competition, but comparisons will occur.

  • cwm

I love that picture of Chris Daughtry with his babies. So adorable and loving.

By the way, I highly recommend watching “The Sing Off,” starting tonight at 8:00pm on NBC. We watched it last year and enjoyed it a lot. Really great group acapella singing! Are you thinking about maybe covering The Sing Off on your blog, MJ?

  • tinawina

Cute Daughtry Babies! Of course, I expected them both to be bald. :)

  • CindyM

Awww…Congrats to Chris Daughtry and his wife. I didn’t like him much when he came off of Idol, but for some reason I like him more now. So happy for him and his family.

  • ComeBack2Me

LOL, that twitter campaign was such a flop they had to get a billionaire to pay the one million. Had they not done that, the celebs might have never returned to twitter. haha

don’t these 2 ladies fill the same slot/niche/need? both glamourous graduates of girl groups? should have chosen either or but not both.

look at the expression on daughtry’s visage – you can’t fake that!

Aww, Chris looks perfect with the babies snuggled up under his chin. :)

The Sing Off tonight was very good! First time I’ve ever seen it, way better than I expected. The two male judges (Ben and Shawn) were SO professional and good. Not full of themselves. Gosh, I wish the Idol judges were like those two. (Didn’t like the judge Nicole.) Some neat performances. It’s on again WEDNESDAY night if anyone wants to check it out.

  • druzilla

Nothing says “fundraising success” than 18 multi-millionaires needing a billionaire to net them $1 million in donations after six days. Morons.

I agree that “The Sing Off” is a good show. I liked it last year. The show tonight was very entertaining. Really good acapella singing on it.

LOL, they got a billionaire to pay for their return to twitter, how pathetic.

It was pathetic. I looked at the total donations earlier today, and it was around $280,000. At that rate it would have taken weeks to get to $1,000,000.

  • Studio57

I can’t help but feel that The Sing Off is just like one big audition clip for Glee. I was kind of bored by it, although some of the acts were pretty talented.

I have no words for the adorableness of Chris with his twins. So sweet!

Cowell, 51, has allegedly already chosen the three other judges to help him on the panel with a different fifth judge every week.

Yep. That’s the way to beat Idol. Add even more useless judges. Why stop at five? If you have 10, you might not even have to bother with all that pointless singing.

Has Simon learned nothing from Idol? Guest judges are BO-RING. They rarely contribute anything useful and generally mess up the chemistry of the judging panel. They are usually just pimping their latest album/project and don’t want to offend anybody. Plus, it takes too much time away from the contestants.

Still, Will Smith is an awesome person to get as a judge. He’s very personable and well-liked.

  • larc

    cookcricket:

But what are his qualifications for judging singers? Rap doesn’t count, IMO. Sounds as if Simon is more interested in celebrity than ability in Will’s case.

frogcooke thanks for the links for David Archuleta.

David will also be performing at the Governor’s tree lighting tomorrow night.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will host his final Christmas tree lighting at the state Capitol Tuesday, with guests that include American Idol contestant David Archuleta.

The 79th annual tree lighting begins at 5 p.m. on the west lawn of the Capitol.

Will Smith is an A-list movie star. Is he really going to judge a talent show like Paula Abdul?

I guess it is a little bit plausible, since he did say something recently about taking a break from movies so his kids could shine, something like that. But still… could they REALLY afford Will Smith? He’s got to charge at least double what JLo charged. :D

  • gangreen29

Will Smith and Nicole Schrwkweweewzinger?!!! I’m starting to think Simon is an idiot. After seeing the clips of the judges interacting, and seeing some of the good talent they have this season, I’m starting to think I might bet on idol to win this battle.

  • tierbee

I really enjoyed “The Sing-Off,” like last year – I love just having straight up musical talent on display. Just voices, voices, voices.

  • Ratna12

    X Factor judges,

I thought all the judges are mentors. So if there is a rotating fifth judge, he/she will only judge and not mentoring ?

  • cwm

Well The Sing Off was fun. Should be a good stiff competition. Some really good voices and impressive arrangements; smart judges. Was glad to see those pompous Berklee students sent home. Their performance definitely did not match the “we’re so great” expectations they set for themselves. On the other hand, the gospel group Committed was fantastic. Love this show’s focus on pure singing.

  • Jurnee

don’t these 2 ladies fill the same slot/niche/need? both glamourous graduates of girl groups? should have chosen either or but not both.

I was in London last month and the tabloids were already reporting that Cheryl Cole (an X Factor judge) would be a judge on the US version because the plan is for her to launch her career on this side of the Atlantic. She’s a huge star in the UK (Lord knows why) and the plan is for her to be as big a star in the US. Not sure why Nicole Scherzinger is so cozy with Simon Cowell. He just had her a guest on X Factor and now this. Baffled.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Katie Couric Will Dance During ‘Glee’ Super Bowl Episode

Yuck. I’ll have to record the show and fast forward.

I’m surprised that Will Smith would be interested in judging a show like X-Factor. According to this site, Will will probably be shooting the new Men in Black movie next year, and he still seems to be a big box office draw (except his last movie appears to have tanked).

    http://boxofficemojo.com/people/chart/?id=willsmith.htm

According to this site, Will is still making a ton of $$$ still as a movie actor. If he really is going to be a judge on X-Factor, Simon will probably have to pay him a huge salary.

Nothing says “fundraising success” than 18 multi-millionaires needing a billionaire to net them $1 million in donations after six days. Morons.

I loved this. The message they need to take away is that nobody cares or wants to hear from them.

THe Sing Off can hardly be a copy cat of Glee since this is their second season. I also think it’s a copy of a European show, but can’t find that reference. I know the pilot for it was done before Glee was ever around.

I like it a lot and Ben Folds is a fantastic judge.

I like Will Smith, but all I can think of is we’ll end up with a bunch of Willow Smith’s whipping their hair. I . Can’t . Stand . That . Song!
