Mel B. isn’t the only new America’s Got Talent judge. Heidi Klum reportedly signed on as the 4th judge just prior to the auditions beginning in New Orleans, according to TMZ.

“America’s Got Talent” just got a lot hotter … because TMZ has learned Heidi Klum has just signed on to be a fourth judge on the reality TV show … which begins taping tomorrow.

Sources close to NBC tell TMZ that “AGT” scored the smokin’ hot model in a last minute negotiation and Heidi hopped on a plane to New Orleans today … where the show is holding its first audition rounds.

TMZ obtained a photo of the “AGT” set taken today … which clearly displays the name “HEIDI” underneath her own personal judge’s “X” … which she’ll use to crush people’s dreams.

Heidi joins other “AGT” judges Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and new-comer Mel B. You’ll recall Sharon Osbourne quit the show at the end of last season.

Please STOP these producers from ruining these TV reality shows.  What the heck does Klum know about TALENT?  Why 4 judges?  haven’t they learned?

Relax, the format can take 4 judges. BGT is doing just fine with 4.

I was wondering what experience Heidi has to bring to the show.  Maybe being formerly married to a cool singer?  I really thought Sharon was a good judge and I’ll miss her.  Then again, Mel B. brings freshness to the judge’s table.  Sometimes, I forget about AGT as it’s not required viewing for me.  I like to watch when they get to the TOP 10.

Heidi Klum knows as much about talent as anyone else.  It is all just an opinion – you either like the act or you don’t.  I always enjoy watching the show, and I don’t think the judges as experts matter all that much.

What experience did Howard Stern or Sharon Osbourne or Piers Morgan  have judging talent other than giving their opinion before AGT? Picking these judges is all about the personality or other factors, not what experience to the table.

My only problem is why they feel the need to be a conformist and add a 4th judge.

They don’t need a fourth judge.

Wow.  Heidi Klum actually made me think I might tune in. I have never watched this show. Yes, as others have pointed out, how are these other judges more “expert” than she is? She’s in the entertainment industry which appears to be the only criteria.

It’s a really stupid show, heh.

I’m a huge Project Runway fan so am very familiar with Klum as a judge. I’m also a casual AGT fan who enjoyed last season’s panel and was sorry when Sharon left b/c I felt the chemistry between her, Stern, and Mandell was good.

That said, I don’t like Klum’s addition at all. I just don’t see her bringing anything fresh to the show.
