Glee Star Samuel Larsen Cuts Off His Dreads (Photos)

Glee star Samuel Larson, who plays Christian student, Joe Hart on the FOX musical comedy has cut his hair.

You might be thinking “so what” but the singer, who landed his part on Glee after winning the inaugural season of The Glee Project in 2011, is immediately recognizable by his long, long, dreadlocks:

Samuel also wore the dreads while he was a popular Hollywood contestant during Season 9 of American Idol.

Now he’s cut off his dreads for a new look, and I wonder if the new do is a signal that he’s moving on from Glee? He didn’t appear in many episodes towards the end of the season, so I have to wonder if his arc is finished. If he were still on the show, cutting off his dreads could cause a wee bit of a continuity problem as the action is reportedly to pick right up where things left off at the end of the May 9 finale.

Vanessa Lengies who plays Sugar Motta, left Glee to co-star in the new ABC comedy, Mixology, complained that she barely got to act in the two seasons she spent on the show. I’m going to miss Sugar Motta. But to be honest, between Samuel’s wooden acting, and his poorly written character, I never could warm up to Joe Hart.

Getting back to the HAIR. Here’s Samuel’s new do. What do you think? It’s something different.
