The latest American Idol XIII promos have focused on the judges.
In this new spot, Harry Connick Jr. comes right out and says, “The judges love each other.” Shots of Harry, Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban cutting up on set are meant to make us forget the bad old days of diva feuds and non-existent chemistry. The promo is positioned expressly to highlight the notion that last year’s nightmare judges panel is a thing of the past.
As Harry said in a tweet to Mariah Carey, (who said in an interview that working on Idol was like going to work every day in hell with Satan) “American Idol XIII is heaven!”

UPDATE: New, longer cut of the “It’s a New Day” video
Christina Aguilera sang the female voice in “It’s a New Day” with Pitbull. Of course, Idol doesn’t use her voice.
