    That is quite horrendous, lol.

I don’t remember him at all if he was on AI. Maybe that is a good thing ;)

He got signed to a record deal after he got cut from Idol. He lost that deal and as far as I know is an indie musician now. I saw him perform at a gig in Orange Country a couple of years ago. He’s a really good piano player but he wasn’t able to connect to the audience at all at that show. Some of his original songs aren’t bad but he’s definitely an acquired taste.

Where is Josiah Leming from originally?  Where did he grow up?  His accent sounds vaguely familiar.  At least, I assume that his accent is that is so noticeable in his singing?  Otherwise, I have no idea what that noise is supposed to represent.

I promise you, I can sing this song better than that.  Not that it would be that difficult to surpass this drivel!  (So no, I’m not a great singer, but neither is he.)

Is he the guy who sang “Grace Kelly” by Mika on AI?

Yes, he was.  It’s in the clips I posted earlier.

For some reason, I want to say he’s from Tennessee. But I’m not positive.

I love Josiah, he’s so talented and a great singer and great songwriter, but this is not good.  I almost wish you could take it off because he is so much better than this and I hate that this might be the first thing people hear from him.  I would implore people to check out his other stuff, because he is actually really good, but yikes!  This sounds bad, not sure what he was thinking.

You know? He posts quite a few videos. More than I actually post. Now, I think I’ll post ALL of his videos, just for you Tess. ;)

I actually underestimated the freakout I figured this post would cause. lol.

I liked Josiah on S7 — he had an endearing quality about him, maybe it was the sympathy factor, idk. He was different. He never had the biggest, most impressive voice but he did stand out during Hollywood Week as unique. I agree with the judges decision that he shouldn’t make it through but I can also think if a name or two in the top 24 that I would have been fine with him swapping, if that had been their decision instead.

I think what really killed his chances was his breakdown at the end of Hollywood Week. AI is no joke with the stress and the amount of work that’s required and clearly Josiah wasn’t ready for it at that time. I hoped the best for him after the show; he seemed so heartbroken when he didn’t make it through. This particular song is probably not the best direction but I still wish him well. Does anyone know if he does any songwriting for others? That might be a direction for him to go.

He had a small tour about a year ago with Tyler Hilton so he’s still plugging away. I do think he’s better served with his original tunes so I’m a bit surprised he tried a John Denver song. I do get the impression he’s become more mature and humble in the years since AI.

Cosign! The abyss is tired of his ass too, lol. Dude was a worster dahhhling back in the day, but after this clip I think he’s on his own.

Maybe he should have done James Taylor’s Country Road–it might have come out better–LOL  It’s a much better song.

Anyway–I always thought John Denver lifted some of his Country Roads from JT’s.
