Naima Adedapo, Stefano Langone and Thia Megia will make up this week’s Bottom 3.

But which contestants will be sent home in tonight’s double elimination?

Zap2it.com Idol Pundits predict (Yes, I changed my mind since last night!)

Stefano was buried in the middle of the pack. His oddly phrased rendition of “Tiny Dancer” was too bland to get anyone to pick up the phone. As awesome as Naima  is, I think she’s just too weird for the American Idol viewing audience. If she leaves, I will call it “death by fake Jamaican accent.”

Thia was boring, but she tried so hard and looked so sweet singing “Daniel”, even if she’s still smiling and doing the pageant thing. Her semi-sob story about the song reminding her of her college-bound brother leaving her moved people to pick up the phone.

So, I’m going with….Stefano Langone and Naima Adedapo as tonight’s eliminated contestants.

What do you think?

Yeah, I put all 20 points on Naima. There’s no way to win the pool by being feint of heart. Of course, I’ll never win anyway but that’s beside the point.

JudyOhio: You get 20 points you can put them all on one or split it up however you want. Those that go all in end up at the top of the list (if they are correct) and will be hard to catch!

Thank you so much Landmd!!!! (disregard my email MJ, lol, I was in a panic with so little time left!)

Ok….so I put all 20 pts on Naima. I see her as a fer sure goin’ home. (famous last words, lol).

    Bottom three:
    Naima, Paul, Stefano

    The two going home:
    Naima and Paul

All I know is I’ve spent more time deciding who is going home tonight than I spent deciding what to name my first child :-/

I would have loved Naima’s reggae version of the song, but the fake accent just threw me out of the performance completely.

I generally prefer people to use their natural accent, and so would have preferred it in Naima’s performance. But, like Mick Jagger consistently singing in a fake American accent, it’s not a performance marring thing, just a little WTF?

Thia and Naima are going home.

Now, that is funny, but it does say a lot about us as Idol fanatics, doesn’t it?

I think Naima and Thia will be going.

I wish it was Thia and Scotty. Thia is boring me and Scotty just comes off as a cocky know it all. Yes he has a great voice and can really sing, but his half closed “sexy eyes” he uses when he looks around the audience make me want to get up and scream. He did much better holding his guitar to not appear that way last night, but I still don’t care for him at all.

Judy, I was in a panic too. However, there’s no way I can pull enough points by spreading it over four contestants. This is all for fun, right?

I see I am in the minority by enjoying Naima’s performance so much. I didn’t even have Jacob in my equation. OK, I admit… I am excited!

that’s why i don’t like him. for starters, his voice just grates me wrong, but that isn’t the main thing i don’t like about him. i don’t like his casual approach to the show and how he seems to only be using it as a self-promotion tool for his band. that cougar pin he had on his vest/jacket last week sent me over the edge. he seems to be taking advantage of the show in the worst way and i just dont like it.

Don’t they all take advantage of the show? Aren’t all the contestants out for self promotion? The only thing IMO different between Paul and other contestants is that he has a band. The whole purpose of the show is to become famous and get your name out there.

It’s not a matter of offending Jamaicans. It’s a matter of seeming inauthentic and cheesy on the Idol stage.

Well, I was referring to folks who said that if they were Jamaican they’d be offended, and the implication that nobody would vote for her because of her choices last night.

And cheesy I get, but inauthentic? In what way? I totally get not liking the song or the performance and hating that Bobby McFerrin song, but I heard an interview with him last year where he said that the royalties on that one song put all his kids through college, so cheesy or not, a lot of people bought the single!

And I still liked Naima’s performance last night!

That is one very Red dress.
