I really love his voice and I like this video concept – but I am not too interested in the song – kind of dull IMO.

I also have a hard time just liking him – after the peeing in the shampoo incident (I know he had pranks pulled on him too – but that was so disgusting). Also haven’t liked him in a couple of interviews.

But back again to his voice – it is actually one of my favorite voices I have ever heard on AI.

we must be sharing a brain today. ITA :)

Alex seriously could have won season 9. Awesome voice. Very happy for him!

How though? Nobody voted for him.

    ^^^^^ LOL

He’s got a unique catchy voice among the season 9 semifinalists, thus my statement that he could have won. Too bad he got voted off too early. He could have grown through each week and made it through the theme weeks by making each song his own with his unique tone. AI viewers love to see growth in the contestant. Alex would have exhibited that by gaining more confidence and allowing people to focus more on his talent as the weeks went by. The early boot has proven to be great for him nonetheless. He’s one of the few who don’t need to win to get a good career out of the whole experience.

He’s one of the few who don’t need to win to get a good career out of the whole experience.

He *might* have a good career. There are many, many artists that start out and don’t make it.. some having to do with talent, others timing, others star quality, etc.. One thing I will say is that all of the contestants need the win to assure the starts of a good career. Getting bummed at weeks 12-2 gives some good exposure, but not the benefit of the win.

I think Alex is such a great singer! I hope he goes far. If I Can Dream has really helped him in music too. I love the video too!

I love the video I love the voice I love everything about this kid. Can’t wait until his album comes out because I’ll be the first in line to buy it. He’s the true success story of season 9. Way to go Alex keep up the good work!!!

    This.

My favorite part is when he’s playing in Times Square. He had a nice crowd, too.

I didn’t like the song that much on first listen. But now, after hearing it a few more times? I cannot wait for it to go to iTunes!

I don’t know if Alex got enough votes that infamous night or not. There was a Digital Spy article the first few days in April, that showed 1.6 million screens tuning into IICD,the night Alex moved in to the Dream House-and,since some share a screen, that might up it to 3 million viewers,or more-unheard of for a brand new internet only-based show.I love the kids from AI9,but c’mon,NONE from that semifinal group(Aaron,Lacey,Lee,Paige,Lily,Mike,ETC.) would have drawn more than 100k viewers, likely, far less.Producer Fix has been suggested numerous times on chat boards for Alex that I have seen. Its a little too convenient when 19 was desperate to raise the viewership of their struggling new show-IICD.

His voice isn’t too bad but not liking the song much. And, wow someone in that video is in dire need of a good bra, lol!

He’s the true success story of season 9.

lol. I think it’s a little too early to say that since no one else has even put anything out yet. He got voted out really early and went on a much cheesier reality TV show. From that he’s recorded a song and a very low budget video. We’ll see how successful he is when the sales start trickling in.

I actually like his voice a lot, although I find the song very bland. I just think it takes a lot to make an impression in this day and age, and I doubt this is the song, or video, that will do it for Alex. Still, love his voice, so I wish him well.

    I like it.
