X Factor: Rachel Crow Post-Boot Roundup!

THE X FACTOR: Rachel Crow is eliminated on THE X FACTOR airing Thursday, Dec. 8 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. L-R: Rachel Crow , Steve Jones and Marcus Canty. CR: Ray Mickshaw / FOX.

Here’s a roundup of post-show interviews with Rachel Crow and the judges.  Rachel seems to still be on an emotional roller coaster–disappointed that she’s been eliminated, but caught up in the excitement of the post elimination media buzz.  I hope her parents take extra good care of Rachel when the cameras are no longer pointed in her direction.

Simon Cowell, last night, on Nicole’s motivation to go to Deadlock: ““[Nicole] didn’t do this out of spite,” said Simon. “What she was trying to do was to let Marcus [Canty] go with some dignity. No question, if she knew Rachel was going to be in the bottom, she would’ve gone the other way.”

Nicole confirms Simon’s perception, ““Marcus has been in the bottom two twice, this was his third time and Rachel’s never been in the bottom so the probability was that America would’ve sent Marcus home. I wasn’t going to be the one to send anyone home.”

My God, Nicole. You are a coward.  If you thought Marcus deserved to be eliminated–you should have sent him home!

If she could do it all again, Nicole would still send the decision to deadlock: ““When I saw that look on her face,” she says, still wiping back tears. “That I let her down, like I dropped her when I could’ve been holding on. I didn’t want to make the decision but if I had to do it all over again, I would’ve done the same thing. Because, how did I know? I have a big heart and I care so much, I feel it on me.”  VIA The Hollywood Reporter

Rachel Still Loves Nicole, ““I want to say to all those people, ‘Stop, please.’ She’s the nicest, most beautiful person inside and out. I saw her, and she was crying still. She was so sad. All of those people last week that were saying, ‘Go die,’ — that’s really mean. That’s a mean thing to say. She’s not that bad. She’s really actually nice. I don’t understand why people are taking it out on her. It’s nobody’s fault — it’s not even America’s fault. It’s no one person’s fault, it’s just what God had in store for me. It will be okay.” VIA Entertainment Weekly

Rachel was upset, but also a little relieved, ““I really honestly am a bit relieved that I’m out,” she told reporters following Thursday’s show. “It’s definitely a lot of pressure. I’m very sad, I’m not feeling great but I’ll be fine. I’m Rachel still.”

Rachel on her emotional moment onstage, “Tears of horrible sadness and tears of tremendous joy — I was just mixed up,” says Rachel. “It wasn’t a look of surprise because I was kind of preparing myself a little bit. It was a look of, ‘I’m really scared of what’s gonna happen.’ That’s why I kind of fell. Sorry about that. It was like, ‘I can’t believe this is happening but I’m so glad I got that experience.’”

Nicole and Simon on Rachel’s future, “She’s the sunshine of our show, so it’s hard to see her cry,” Nicole later told reporters, while judge Simon Cowell compared Rachel to Jennifer Hudson and said she the potential to be a triple threat. “She’s a 360 artist,” he said. “I’m actually convinced that she’ll end up on Nickelodeon or Disney. She’s got that tenacity, she’s got that appeal. I think she’s going to be absolutely fine.” Via The Hollywood Reporter

Rachel Crow Elimination Interview on Fox 5 NY

Rachel says some of the adults on X Factor were more immature than the kids.

Good Day LA

Rachel was not prepared to be in the Bottom 2. She calls herself “precocious”. Rachel says “don’t be angry at Nicole”. Like many of us, she expected Marcus to go because he’d been in the bottom 2 already. The consensus was Nicole believed this too. Simon said to her when he picked her up of the ground “Don’t worry, I have big plans for you.” Handlers would not let Marcus get to her. Her fans are helping her design her bathroom.
