NBC Reporter Makes Sochi Olympian Bode Miller Cry (VIDEO)

Have you been watching the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics? Yesterday, along with Ice Dancing (DWTS pro, Derek Hough, helped choreograph the short dance routine from Meryl Davis and Charlie White, who have a good chance of taking the Gold),  NBC’s primetime coverage included women’s snowboarding and the men’s’ Super-G Alpine skiing event.

After Bode Miller took the bronze in the Super G, an NBC reporter, Christin Cooper, badgered him to tears with questions about his late brother, Chilly, who died of a seizure after a head injury in April.

Not content to ask him once, she asks him basically the same question 3 times until Bode breaks down into tears. It’s pretty pitiful. I’m sure the poor reporter had an NBC producer screaming in her ear the whole time, Which is why Bode ain’t mad, and is asking people to cut the reporter a break.

He told the Today show this morning, “I know she didn’t mean to push. I don’t think she really anticipated what my reaction was going to be, and I think by the time she realized it, it was too late. I don’t blame her at all.”

In a couple of tweets after the interview last night, Bodie implored, “I appreciate everyone sticking up for me. Please be gentle w christin cooper, it was crazy emotional and not all her fault. #heatofthemoment.” And, “My emotions were very raw, she asked the questions that every interviewer would have, pushing is part of it, she wasnt trying to cause pain.”
