‘American Idol’ Top 12 loved working with mentor Will.i.am – Hollie Cavanagh tells Zap2it that she really expected the Black Eyed Peas member to have much more of an attitude than he did. “When you meet the really huge people in the music industry, you think they’re going to be, I don’t know, judgmental or something,” she says. “But he was so relaxed and chilled. Lauren Alaina’s a Nice Tipper – Lauren Alaina recently returned to her old after-school job at CiCi’s Pizza restaurant in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., to film a segment of the GAC series Day Jobs. Whitney Houston made silly faces on ‘Sparkle’ set, Jordin Sparks says (Video) – Jordin Sparks, a former “American Idol” winner, got to experience the results of Whitney Houston’s famous sense of humor firsthand as they filmed “Sparkle,” saying the late singer tried to get her to “crack” up while shooting serious scenes. “She was always making sure I was okay, always asking if I needed something,” she said. “In serious scenes, if the camera was on me … she was standing right here, it was the back of her head, she’d be making faces at me, trying to make me crack and I was like, ‘I’m going to get you for that. Snapped on Set: Katharine McPhee & Megan Hilty Wig Out Filming ‘Smash’ (PHOTOS) – Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty were seen in NYC on the set of the NBC musical drama Smash on Tuesday, and we’re sporting yet another kind of ‘do. The freshman show, set around the production of a Marilyn Monroe based musical, also stars Debra Messing and has boasted guest stars such as Nick Jonas. Rachel Crow Gets Advice From Jennifer Hudson – “We’ve been thinking about songs right now, and again, we’re kind of in the first couple stages of that,” Crow said. “I want it to be really fun. I want there to be a lot of high notes, a lot of stuff that really does show who I am so I can reach to them through my music. And so, I want it to be upbeat songs, I want there to be some slow songs, some motivational songs, some songs hopefully with a rap in them somewhere.
