‘The Voice’ contestant Nic Hawk says ‘it’s really anybody’s game at this point’ – On Monday NBC’s The Voice kicked off the first night of its live shows with performances from members of Team Adam and Team Blake. “I kinda beat myself up a bit after it was over because I felt like I could have done it better but then I thought to myself, ‘You know what? This song isn’t necessarily about vocals– it’s about performance.’ I’m here to perform and I think the crowd had an amazing time!” exclaimed Hawk when EW spoke with him over the phone the morning after. – Read more at Entertainment Weekly

Carrie Underwood Says ‘The Sound of Music’ Will be More ‘Nerve-Racking’ Than CMA Awards – “Every one has its moments,” she said Sunday (Nov. 3) at the CMA Awards Radio Broadcast Orientation. “I really like being around the kiddos and when we’re doing stuff together, they just make me laugh. ‘Do-Re-Mi’ and ‘The Lonely Goatherd’ are the ones that are a lot of fun for me because we get to just be silly.” The country singer couldn’t say enough nice things about the musical’s von Trapp children. “They step up and they’re such hard workers,” she dishes. “It’s really cool to be around people like that and the fact that we are all being super brave and doing this live. It’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s been a lot of fun already.” – Read more at Taste of Country

My Morning Routine: Darren Criss – Glee MVP Darren Criss has become somewhat of a skincare aficionado, and for good cause: “I’m putting [makeup] on my face, dancing around sweating and getting oily, and it’s all under HD cameras, which is probably the most unflattering thing you can do.” On top of that, he’s also partnered with grooming e-tailor The Motley as an investor and product tester and developer. It makes sense, then, that the guy would have some good grooming tips, so we asked Criss to share his daily ritual. – Read more at GQ

InDepth InterView: Darren Criss Talks GLEE Season Five, SIX BY SONDHEIM HBO Doc, Broadway, Hollywood, Dream Roles & More – PC: Looking ahead to what’s coming up on GLEE, what can you tell us about the next couple of episodes and what we can expect – Lady Gaga and Katy Perry this week; puppets, too, sometime soon? DC: We’ve got a lot of things! A lot of fun things. Incidentally, Jeff Marx [of AVENUE Q] actually wrote an original song for the show last year, but that’s the only AVENUE Q connection, actually. Ryan Murphy sort of spilled the beans on the puppets – that’s not coming up for a while! I took a lot of pictures and I’ve been waiting to put them out there and he just Tweeted some pictures of the puppets, so I guess I can share mine now, too! – Read more at Broadway World

Amber Riley’s Dancing With the Stars Blog: Cher Told Me I Shouldn’t Feel Nervous About Being Sexy – It was really exciting dancing in front of Cher. I was extremely nervous but I was determined to do a really good job. I wanted her to enjoy our interpretation of one of her biggest hits! After she gave me my score, I walked up to the judges’ table—I always do that, just to thank them and get extra feedback, if they have it—and Cher told me, “You shouldn’t feel nervous about being sexy because you could walk out sexy every day.” It was just really cool to get some encouragement from Cher because she’s such an empowering woman. I felt very relieved when I found out we were safe from the dance-off challenge. We had a really difficult week. Of course, every week is difficult, and everybody has busy weeks; everyone does other things and everyone travels, so it’s not an excuse. However, it was very gratifying, considering how hard I worked in that rehearsal room, even through the pain, to get the score that we got. – Read more at Parade.com

Peter Facinelli On ‘Glee’: I’ve Formed A Bond With Lea Michele – Peter, who portrayed Dr. Cullen in the Twilight saga, recently signed on to Glee as a director on Broadway — and he loves working on the show with the whole cast. “Glee has the hardest working cast I’ve ever seen,” he said. “You’re jumping from one set to the next doing dance rehearsals. I’m fortunate enough where I don’t have to dance or sing. I was there when they [would] bust out into these dance numbers they’d been rehearsing on their time off!” – Read more at Hollywood Life
