NBC’s ‘Hairspray Live’ Recruits Sean Hayes and Rosie O’Donnell – Producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour that they have recruited Sean Hayes and Rosie O’Donnell to the December production. Hayes (who has an overall deal with Universal Television and exec produces NBC’s Grimm and Hollywood Game Night) will play Mr. Pinky, the owner of Hefty Hideaway, an integrated women’s clothing boutique. Life after ‘American Idol’: Tamyra Gray interview (‘If/Then’) – For several years, Gray focused on raising her daughter, wanting to stay near home. She only took local theater jobs. But earlier this year, she had the itch to break out a bit. She nabbed a major role in the national production of the musical “If/Then.” So for the past six months, she has been traveling across the country, ending the tour in her hometown of Atlanta August 9 through 14 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre.
