With 37.17% reporting, Queen Adele continues to reign. Van Halen who is currently in 3rd is expected to challenge her for the top spot during their debut week. If Adele manages to hold the lead, this will be her 20th non-consecutive week at number 1 on the BB200. The last album to last the number of weeks at #1 was Whitney Houston’s “Bodyguard” album. I just can’t imagine the headlines.
The top debuting album right now is “NOW 41”. These ever-popular collections of Pop songs often feature Idols, but not this time. It does feature “Stereo Hearts” from Gym Class Heroes which does feature Voice judge Adam Levine. It also features the much discussed around here Hunter Hayes. Interestingly enough, it isn’t his current single “Storm Warning” or his next single “Wanted”, but an entirely different track. I suspect somebody is determined to make this kid happen somewhere.
4th belongs to the 2012 Grammy Nominess [sic] which features Kelly, Adam Levine, Christina and Blake (who continues to be the only Voice judge without a Grammy). Country singers Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Tim McGraw take spots 5th through 7th, the bopping Kidz are in 8th, Adele makes it 2 in the top 10 at 9th and those loveable goofballs LMFAO round out the top 10.
The first solo Idol to show up is Kelly Clarkson at 20th. She also appears on Jason Aldean’s 12th place album, NOW 40 at 23rd and that 2012 Grammy album at 8th. Scotty is at 25, Daughtry is 39th and Kellie is 41st. Maroon 5 featuring Voice judge Adam Levine is at 47th. Whitney is 15th.
