HDD – Album Sales Prediction : Mar 7-13

With just a tad over 40% of the market reporting, it looks like pretty slim pickings for the Idols. In fact, the only Idols on the HDD top 50 chart are the very first and the very last female winners. Kelly Clarkson’s hugely successful duet with Jason Aldean has helped to keep his album in the top 10. Meanwhile, Jordin Spark’s collaboration with Big Time Rush is part of their top 50 album (49).

Lupe Fiasco’s Laser may beat out Adele’s “21” for the top spot on this week’s chart, but the woman still dominate the top 5. Third spot goes to Avril’s “Goodbye Lullaby” and Sara Evans “Stronger”. Both albums are debuting this week. Now 37 continues to sell to those who refuse to embrace iTunes to round out the top 5.

The Glee Cast’s latest album, Volume 5, is currently set to debut in 6th spot. Is it me, or is Glee starting to lose some steam? Last November, with 54% reporting, their 4th album had already been credited with 67, 099. With 40% reporting, Vol 5 is at 18, 403. I guess they should try serving some more plot with those songs…

This is the daily number’s thread with its laser beam intensity.
