HDD – Album Sales Prediction : Mar 5-11

With 54.98% of reports in, Queen Adele continues to rule the chart. But, the Boss might take a wrecking ball to her chart domination. Bruce Springsteen isn’t far behind at 2nd and it is predicted that the two will be neck and neck when the final chart comes out. Adele’s “19” is also in the top 10 at number 7. Next week, Adele will have to fend off that feisty fivesome from her home country for number 1.

Whitney Houston was featured on Idol last week, but her sales are probably still largely being fueled by nostalgia. Her “Whitney-Greatest Hits” is 5th, “Bodyguard” is 8th, “Whitney Houston” is 9th, “I Look to You” is 11th, “Triple Feature” is 20th”, “My Love is Your Love” is 23rd and “I’m Your Baby Tonight” is 27th.

Rounding out the top 10 are “Now 41” (3), Lady A (4), Lil Wayne (6) and Luke Bryan (10).

The top Idol on the chart is Kelly Clarkson. Her latest album “Stronger” is in the 13th position while the album that features a duet between her and Jason Aldean is 14th. That same song is featured on the Grammy 2012 album at 18th. Voice judges Adam Levine, Christina and Blake also appear on that album.

Chris Richardson is right behind Kelly with him being featured on a song on Tyga’s album. “Careless World” is at 15. Finally, Scotty’s solo effort continues to sell well going into its 23rd week and is currently at 26th.

Mary J was a guest mentor on Idol and her current album is at 25. Voice judges Blake and Adam appear at 30th and 40th on the chart respectively.
