Press release excerpt:

(New York – NY) David Cook will be premiering the new music video for his first single “The Last Goodbye” on iTunes on May 23rd. The video was directed by the acclaimed and award winning Nigel Dick (Britney Spears, Oasis, Nickelback, etc.) and shot in Malibu earlier this month.

Also on May 24th, Cook will return to the American Idol stage for a live performance of “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”. Earlier this year Cook recorded this as the farewell song for the 10th season of American Idol, which has been heard every week this season. Cook will be releasing his sophomore album, This Loud Morning (19 Recordings/RCA Records), on June 28th. This Loud Morning is currently available for pre-sale at DavidCookOfficial.com and other digital retailers.

Executive produced by Matt Serletic (Rob Thomas, Matchbox Twenty, Collective Soul), This Loud Morning features tracks written and co-written by Cook along with many acclaimed songwriters including, David Hodges, Ryan Tedder, Kevin Griffin and Marti Frederiksen.
