Big Brother 24 Week 11 Recap: Elimination Live Blog

A new episode of Big Brother 24 airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap here.

Last week was a Double Eviction episode, which resulted in Terrance and Michael getting evicted from the Big Brother house. Afterwards, Monte won the Head of Household competition. He nominated Brittany and Alyssa for eviction. Brittany was the target, but she saved herself with the Power of Veto. Taylor and Turner were the only options left for a replacement nominee. Monte didn’t want to risk Turner’s safety, so he nominated Taylor as a pawn. Alyssa is now the target, but Brittany and Turner are the ones voting. Will they follow through with the plan to evict Alyssa? Let’s find out!

The episode begins after the Veto Meeting. Alyssa believes she can count on Turner’s vote, but she’ll need either Brittany or Monte to vote to keep her. Taylor is annoyed she is nominated yet again. She plans to lay low and hopes she’ll survive the block again. Later, Brittany reassures Taylor that she is voting to keep her. In the Diary Room, Brittany shares that she also wants to go to the Final 2 with Taylor. Elsewhere, Alyssa gives her pitch to Turner. She points out how Taylor is a bigger threat and has an underdog story too. In the Diary Room, Turner admits he would rather keep Alyssa, but he doesn’t want to force Monte to cast a tie-breaking vote.

Meanwhile, Brittany feels isolated from the other four Houseguests. She goes to bed earlier than them while they’re having slumber parties in the HoH room. Next, we see flirting between Monte and Taylor. They admit to having an attraction for each other in the Diary Room. The segment ends with Taylor and Monte making out in bed. “Sorry, Joseph,” Taylor says in the Diary Room. Later, Alyssa goes into the HoH room to wake them up. Alyssa tells Brittany downstairs that they were still in bed. Brittany is now concerned whether Taylor is committed to her Final 2 deal with her. Brittany says Taylor hasn’t said two words to her since the Veto Meeting. Brittany now wonders if Taylor would rather go to the Final 2 with Monte.

Brittany now wants Alyssa to stay in the house. However, she knows Turner and Monte are going to vote to keep Taylor even if Brittany votes to keep Alyssa. Brittany shares this with Alyssa. She tells Alyssa that her vote doesn’t matter this week. Alyssa is surprised to hear Turner may not be on her side. She goes to talk to Turner again, and she is in tears about his possible betrayal. Alyssa says she won’t remain friends with Turner if he votes her out. Turner reasons that you can separate friendship and the game, but Alyssa disagrees. Alyssa says she will be hurt if Turner plays a role in her eviction. In the Diary Room, Turner says it’s annoying that Alyssa is threatening him with her friendship and jury vote. He wants to vote her out even more now, but he admits that he could give her a sympathy vote for jury management purposes.

It’s time for the eviction. Taylor and Alyssa get to make one last plea. Taylor says she will never give up, she has a lot of fight left in her, and that she is good for all of their games. Alyssa gives a shout-out to her loved ones back home. She says she loves them all. She says every decision is a $750,000 decision. Afterwards, Brittany and Turner cast their votes.

Brittany votes to evict Taylor.

Turner votes to evict Alyssa.

It’s a tie. Monte must now break the tie with his vote. Monte stands up and votes to evict Alyssa. Alyssa has been evicted from the Big Brother house. Alyssa gives everyone a hug before walking out the door. She sits down for her interview with Julie. Julie asks her what she thinks happened. Alyssa believes Brittany had her back and says Turner gave her a weird vibe the past few days. Alyssa says Monte may have made a mistake keeping Taylor over her. She thinks Monte would’ve had an easier time against Alyssa than Taylor. Julie asks if Alyssa will refuse to be friends with Turner. Alyssa admits she is salty since Turner was her best friend in the house, but she says she’ll be okay after time. Julie points out how Alyssa didn’t win any competitions throughout the season, and Alyssa says the competitions were more difficult than she expected. Alyssa says the most difficult thing she had to do in the game was voting to evict Kyle two weeks ago. She stands by her decision to vote him out though. Afterwards, the goodbye messages play. Monte subtly blames Brittany’s Veto win for Alyssa missing out on Final 4. Brittany is sorry and says she is alone in this game. She promises to fight for her. Taylor tells Alyssa about the agreement between Monte and Turner to evict Alyssa this week. Taylor says she wants two girls to be in the Final 2. Turner apologizes and says it will look badly if he didn’t vote with the house this week. Julie asks Alyssa for her final thoughts, and Alyssa says she hopes to see Taylor and Brittany in the Final 2.

It’s time for the Head of Household competition. They will be quizzed on a video of Julie’s outfits throughout the season. They must answer true or false. The Houseguest with the most correct answers will be the new HoH and secure a spot in the Final 3.

Question 1: Brittany and Turner are correct.

Question 3: Everyone is correct.

Question 4: Taylor and Brittany are correct.

Question 5: Taylor and Brittany are correct.

Taylor and Brittany must now face-off in a tie-breaker question: In seconds, how long was the snooze fest competition? The person who comes closest to the answer without going over will be the new HoH. Brittany writes down 2,700. Taylor writes down 480. The correct answer is 1,404 seconds. Taylor is the new Head of Household!
