From the NYTimes–read all about Ryan Seacrest’s entrepreneurial ways.  Plus, see the obvious relish Ryan takes when he eliminates contestants!

Bits and Pieces

This reporter from the St. Petersburg Times writes that the producers work behind the scenes to manipulate Idol.  Say it ain’t so!  Heh.  Nothing we haven’t heard already, but it’s a nice round-up of what we’ve already noticed.  And, another article about the Idol money-making machine, this time from CNN.com.  According to CNN, Fox is said to be charging $1.3 million for a 30-second commercial spot for the finale. For our international readers (hi guys!), The Associated Press talks of American Idol fever all over the globe–in places like Malaysia, India, Iceland and Japan.  Finally, just for fun, from TMZ.com,  a paparazzi film clip of some of the idols hanging out in LA.
