Chris Stapleton took home the 2023 Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year award,while Lainey Wilson was named Female Artist of the Year and Morgan Wallen was Male Artist of the Year at Thursday’s (May 11) 58th annual ACM Awards.

Morgan, originally scheduled to perform at the ceremony was absent after announcing earlier this week that he was forced to cancel six weeks of concert dates due to vocal cord issues.
American Idol alum Carrie Underwood was shut out of the only category that she was nominated in. However, winning Entertainer of the Year would have been an upset. She didn’t perform or attend the ceremony.
Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks hosted the show, held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, and streamed via Amazon. The full rebroadcast of the 2023 ACM Awards will stream on Friday (May 12) for free on Amazon Freevee.
