Presenters: Paula Abdul, Kelsea Ballerini, Tyra Banks, Chadwick Boseman, Kane Brown, Misty Copeland, Rivers Cuomo, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dan + Shay, Jenna Dewan, David Dobrik, Michael Ealy, Maddie Hasson, Maya Hawke, Jameela Jamil, Jharrel Jerome, Taran Killam, Carole King, Regina King, Heidi Klum, Katherine Langford, Dan Levy, Megan Thee Stallion, Ben Platt, Billy Porter, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Cobie Smulders, Carrie Underwood, Pete Wentz, Constance Wu.

Plus, taped performances by three American Idol alums, Logan Johnson, Layla Spring and Sean Robinson will be unveiled during the broadcast, with instructions on how to vote for ONE to move on to the Hollywood Round. The winner will be announced on Monday’s (Nov 25) Dancing with the Stars

Selena Gomez kicks off the show with a WORLD TELEVISION PREMIERE! Her new song is “Lose You To Love Me.” So. Is this off key singing on purpose? Because of a line in the song? Also. is she singing about her ex-boyfriend THE BEIBS? Oh look. It’s her BFF Taylor Swift jumping up and down in the audience.

Ciara kicks off the show with a performance. Hopefully, that means we’ll be spared a painfully unfunny monologue? Yes! Hallelujah. After her performance, she introduces Chadwick Boseman who hands out the first award, Alternative Artist. Billie Eilish accepts the award while sucking on a dum dum sucker.

An American Idol teaser aired during the commercial. Throughout the broadcast, we’ll see all three American Idol alums vying for a spot in the Hollywood rounds, perform at the he Whiskey A-Go-Go. Ryan Seacrest infers that the performances are live. But that’s not what the ABC press release said.

Real life lovers Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes perform their hit “Señorita.” Camila slinks about while Shawn strums a guitar. He ditches the instrument and joins Camila’s slinking. It ends…almost a kiss after lots of nose nuzzling and lip licking. Taylor Swift looked about to pass out.

Speaking of which, Taylor wins her first award Pop/Rock Album. She gushes about her current record label, UMG. It’s big dig on her old label head boss, Scott Borchetta

Oh look. It’s the beleaguered Kesha singing her latest song,  “B***h I’m blessed.” Oh wow. is she singing her big hit “Tik Tok.” To be honest, I’m really really surprised that she’d sing her old Dr. Luke produced hits. Aren’t they still suing each other?

Here is comes. Judge Katy Perry introduces Logan Johnson singing Dan + Shay’s “Speechless.” The performance was a short clip of Logan singing on the Whiskey stage. Yep. Just like when Idol did this two years ago, there will be a longer clip of Logan uploaded on the American Idol Youtube channel. Vote for your favorite at Americanidol.com/vote.  All three will sing AMA nominated songs.

Congratulations to Carrie Underwood! She won the Country Album category for Cry Pretty! Oh she also won in the Female Country Artist category! It’s her 14th AMA and the 6 award in the category! She thanks God for the gifts he gives people. She hopes they use gifts to make the world a better place. She thanks every family member by name. “It’s been such a wonderful year,” she says. Aw. She’s all teary!

Also, congratulations to Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes! They won Best Collaboration for “Señorita.” Shawn’s mom is watching in Toronto.

Halsey performs “Graveyard” alongside another woman. They smear paint all over each other’s impeccable white outfits. Kinda crazy. And she didn’t miss a note.

TONNNNS of Star Wars promo tonight. The Disney film opens in December.

Middle-aged Gen Xers unite. Green Day take the stage to sing a couple of songs from their 1994 groundbreaking album, Dookie. That woke everyone up. BTW Gen Xers are the olds. Baby Boomers now the ancients.

Luke Bryan introduces Layla Spring who sings Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away.” Big note! She ends the performance with a  “THANK Y’ALL SO MUCH!”

Camila Cabello is back on stage with a performance of “Living Proof.” She’s a vision in white. The song is from the X Factor USA alum’s upcoming album, “Romance.”

Jonas Brothers continue to shill for T Mobile! They’re singing “Only Human” live from Boston (Woot Woot!). You know, Nick Jonas will sit in Adam Levine’s seat for the spring 2020 The Voice cycle.

Carole King introduces Artist of the Decade Taylor Swift. After a video package noting career highlights, she sings a medley of her biggest hits. Still as off-key as ever. Camila Cabello and Halsey joined her onstage for “Shake it Off.”

What the heck. Shawn Robinson’s American Idol highlight was a total blink and miss it. Logan and Layla got longer promos. He sings “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars.

Carrie Underwood is back on stage to introduce Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World, debuting their new collaboration, “Fall On Me.” They had a huge hit together with “Say Something.” Great Big World dude shaved his head. Male pattern baldness sucks, don’t it?

Hoo boy. Ozzy Osbourne and Travis Scott joined Post Malone onstage for “Take What You Want.” Finally something for the ancients. Ha ha. Check out Carrie Underwood rocking out to their performance. She’s a total metal head. Heh.
