Jennifer Hudson takes part in the 2nd annual “A Fine Romance” benefit for the Motion Picture & Television Fund,  tonight at the Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood.

She’ll join other celebrities, including Harry Connick Jr, Shirley MacLaine, Bernadette Peters, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones for a fundraiser to benefit the Motion Picture & Television Fund, “dedicated to promoting the well-being of California entertainment community through healthcare, childcare, retirement care and charitable social services.” For more information on the organization, check out their website.

Also tonight:  Season Two’s Carmen Rasmusen co-hosts the New Music Awards  at Avalon nightclub in  Los Angeles, CA.   Jon Peter Lewis and Frenchie Davis are also set to appear.   The awards are sponsored by New Music Weekly.

Tomorrow, Taylor Hicks  is scheduled  sing the National Anthem at the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Homestead, FL.   The race will will be carried live by NBC starting at 3 pm EST.

Also tomorrow, Katharine McPhee will be one of the featured guests, along with Five for Fighting, High School Musical, Hall And Oates and JoJo, for The Grove mall Tree Lighting Spectacular in Los Angeles, CA.   The event begins at 7 pm at the Grove town square.

Jennifer Hudson, and the cast of “Dreamgirls” chat with Oprah, Monday November 20.  Check your local listings for time and station.

Constantine Maroulis will be a celebrity judge for the 3rd annual Snowflake Flake awards at the Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City, NJ Tuesday November 21 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.   More information can be found  on Constantine’s MySpace.

Chris Daughtry and his band DAUGHTRY will be featured on Good Morning America’s Fall concert series, Tuesday November 21. The event is a tree trimming contest for Jersey City schoolchildren, from grades 1-5.

The American Music Awards will be broadcast  live on ABC, Tuesday November 21 starting at 8 pm EST.   It’s a big night for Idols.  Carrie Underwood is nominated for two awards–Favorite Female Artist Country,   and  Favorite New Breakthrough Artist (all genres).   She’s slated to sing a medley of her singles, “Jesus, Take the Wheel, ” “Dont Forget to Remember Me, ” and “Before He Cheats.”   Taylor Hicks, Katharine McPhee and Clay Aiken will be on hand as presenters.

Chris Daughtry guests on Live with Regis and Kelly on Wednesday November 22 to promote his debut album DAUGHTRY.   It drops the day before, on November 21.   Check your local listings for time and station.

Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, has several Idols making appearances at Holiday events:

Paris Bennett and Ace Young are among the featured attractions at this year’s Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade. It begins Thanksgiving morning, November 23 at 8:30 am EST.

Diana DeGarmo (she’ll be singing “The Pharaoh Strut” on the King Tutenstein float) will appear at Macy’s 80th Annual Thanksgiving Day parade. NBC will broadcast the parade Thanksgiving morning, 9am-12pm.

The Thanksgiving Day football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers  features  Kelly Clarkson singing  the National Anthem, and  Carrie Underwood  performing her hit singles at  the half time show. The game  begins at 4:15 pm EST on FOX.
