The X Factor auditions are finished. Now we head into Boot Camp and the Judges Houses. Both phases of the competition have been taped and spoilers naming the Top 17 contestants headed to the Love Shows, which begin on November 1, have emerged Via Carla Hay of The Examiner

Check out the Top 17 below. Also, the original article has a list of judges house rejects. There are 17 contestants again this year, meaning there is probably some sort of wild card or twist that resulted in an extra contestant. You’ll remember last year, Simon “changed his mind” after eliminating Melanie Amaro at the judges houses. He arrived at her house in Florida in order to invite her to be the 5th contestant on his team, and the 17th contestant overall. As you know, Melanie went on to take the crown.

UPDATE:   The  Examiner spoilers I originally posted seem to be wrong. Here’s a new list via Digital Spy via Jork.  The differences:  Reed Deming, Tara Simon are out.  Willie Jones and David Correy are in.  Lyric Da Queen has been added to One4Five

UPDATE2: Y’all know these spoilers are unconfirmed right? And to Examiner reporters complaining that I linked to Carla. I rarely link to ANY of you.  I am well aware that anybody can post anything they want as there is no fact checking or editorial oversight at The Examiner. JSYK.

looks like there will be a wildcard added (similar to uk show) so acts cut at judges houses (Jillian jensen, Reed Deeming, JT, Sisterc, Daryl Black, etc) get a life line! either that or actually its only 3 of the 4 stated get through to the lives and the other is the wildcard for each category…i dunno dont really see the need for the wildcard 16 is more than enough…

(space on purpose so spoilers don't show up on main page)

I'm kind of disappointed in some of these spoilers.  My absolute favorite didn't make it, and I thought Lauren Jaregui was very good as a solo artist.  Looks like Simon is trying to make  a female group, which he has had some success with.

Glad Arin Ray and Paige Thomas made it, I thought they were pretty good.

ETA: Kind of surprised the girl that was bullied, the one from Rhode Island didn't make it.

  • http://twitter.com/blkeener Brittany Keener

There are 5 too many children in this competition….good grief.

Also, most of these contestants had awful auditions…and some came off horribly.

  • Karen C

That’s what I thought too.  A lot didn’t make it that I thought would

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_S3ZGXZCUE2YYOS7QV6QSTKM4SA buffynut2001

Hmmm, the sister group didn’t make it? Surprised.

  • elliegrll

Simon always made it clear that the show is geared towards those viewers who are 25 and under.  He wants people to know that this is the opposite of American Idol.  I wonder how the people in the Overs category feel about this.

  • blackberryharvest

Hmm, looks like some of Jork’s spoilers were off.

  • http://twitter.com/50watts Ronald Watts

well Annie didn’t make it, THANK GOD

Terribly disappointed with these spoilers if they are true

  • http://twitter.com/desireechick Kesia Monteith

These spoilers are funky. Dinah Jane did have her audition shown, and there is doubt about Dope Crisis making it, assuming it could have been Sister C instead. Reed Deming coming through is beyond bothersome. I hope he is not the wildcard or that means he is automatically in to the top 12.

  • kcostell

(This longwinded sentence consisting of mostly gibberish included as part of a possibly futile attempt to keep spoilery things from showing up in the “most recent comments” section. )

Three things I find surprising are

-Four different 13-year-olds.  This could lead to a lot of “turn off the TV” levels of awkwardness on elimination nights.

-Not a single guy between the ages of 17 and 33.  I guess that way to try and distinguish yourself from Idol.

-Three different hip-hop groups competing against each other.

  • girlygirltoo

This group doesn’t interest me at all. There’s only maybe 2 or 3 that I even remember as liking when I saw their audition.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/XDQP2Y46M5B3OHOKALDDGDHQCM Leandro

On X-Factor UK they always put through some funny people who can’t sing and somehow are able to go very far in the competition – Wagner, Jedward, Frank Coccoza, et cetera.

It’s the “Sanjaya buzz”. Therefore, expect some trainwrecks acts knocking off your favorites.

  • blackberryharvest

Not a single guy between the ages of 17 and 33.

    Except the groups like Emblem3.

    Four 13 year old children.*Sigh*.

*WARNING – GOING INTO MAJOR RANT*……………

WTF??!??!?!?! X factor you suck!! I had always tried to defend your show against Idol and Voice but it just seems this year the talent pool is worse and the drama effect is getting ridiculous!!! I mean SERIOUSLY- you would put through Tara simon over Jeffrey Adam Gutt for the overs category??!!
And CECE FREY who is so unlikable???!! I DON’T GET IT!! How does Simon think this will get him better ratings???!!
People like Tara and Cece are not going to be popular with the public, instead why didn’t they just let people with actual talent through??!! Jeffrey Gutt, Jessica Espinoza (the girl with the Pink voice???) and they CUT PANDA??!!
Omg………i am so boycotting this season. The whole list up there looks extremely teeny bopperish!! I am still having some hope these aren’t accurate… AND what is the point of having an OVERS category and not putting your best talent in it?? the best one so far would be Jason Brock. If Simon keeps wanting to distinguish X Factor from Idol to target the below 25s or find a teeny bopper pop star, then why have the overs category?? Just do away with it then!! I didn’t come here to watch X Nickelodean Factor!!

    *rant over*

  • genius13

I dont know who’s spoilers are rite…but im glad that Arin Ray is included in this set….but WHERE THE HELL IS DAVID CORREY…the adopted guy with the tattoos that sang bruno mars…there are 2 sets of spoilers..which one to believe??

  • http://twitter.com/ClaudeDee Claude Dee

LOVE shows! I’m excited. Love making yay

  • jtgraffix

wtf? what happened to jeffrey gutt?! i wonder if they’re gonna try and repeat little mix’s success with their first x-factor US girl band.

  • Whatiswrongwithus

EXACTLY!! I think X factor has seriously lost the plot! If this was Idol Jeffrey and that Pink girl Jessica would have so made it to top 24 and then public can vote (of course if Jeff was of age say 28) and providing they didn’t mess up during bootcamp. BUT i highly doubt they messed up, they are both seasoned performers! I’m sure Simon or the stupid producers felt that they may have too big a following and thwart their teeny bopper plans! I AM SO PISSED ABOUT JEFF GUTT!! I am skipping this season, there’s really no one else worth rooting for. Still hoping the spoilers aren’t accurate…:(

  • Mateja Praznik

Guys, let’s wait for the bootcamp and the judges’ houses round. Some people with great auditions have a complete meltdown in bootcamp.

  • http://twitter.com/RyanJames2298 Ryan

If these spoilers are true, and I have to live without my weekly slice of chocolate panda pie, then im done with xfactor

  • Mateja Praznik

Contestants like Panda and that overweight guy from the last episode are feel good stories from the auditions.  Not serious contenders.

  • Karen C

I am too, Jeff Gutt was my absolute favorite, and I agree, he’s very seasoned, has a lot of various kinds of music on youtube, mainly alternative rock, but some other types of music too so he was versitile enough. He was the one to watch for me.

I agree he would have done better on Idol, if he was the right age. Though he was about the same age probably as Josh Krajik last year.

I kind of had a feeling that he might not have made it since he had a facebook where he said he was going to be on the show, I’m not sure if they would do that if they are finalists.

  • KatManFoSho

Not sure why people here are complaining about kids this year. Three of the four 13-year old kids here are pros (Carly, Diamond, Beatrice) with significant accomplishments under their belt, probably they are more experienced that many of the older ones.  They are not kids next door like last year.  All, including Reed, are are signed have professional representation, which even me wonder whether producers did some active digging to bring more experienced kids, who can take the pressure and avoid the live meltdowns that happened last year.

  • jr8809

I think this list is wrong and they just got this from vftw. This writer is just known for taken stuff and spoiling it without actually making sure it’s right or not.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/XY62PETGTXO3FFQXX45UKQ2O7M Steph

Anyone who sleeps on Tara Simon is crazy. She can saaang her a$$ off.

At times (in her ad libs) she sounds like a young Mariah Carey in this YT clip:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hAUjTD1Gno

She’s like a mix of Crystal Lewis and Mariah.

  • kmd23

I think that Reed Deming or Tate Stevens could win X Factor this year. If they can get Reed to consistently sing well he has it.

  • http://twitter.com/Sassycatz Sassycatz

Having not seen this show much, but reading the comments here, I have to ask: how old was Jessica during Idol? How old was Phillip? Ancient? What about the previous years’ top two, Lauren and Scotty? If I’m not mistaken, of the four people mentioned, three of them could neither vote nor drink and were all still in high school. So, how is age a big distinguishing factor?

  • http://twitter.com/MikhailXO MichaelG (MikhailXO)

Thanks for the spoilers, MJ. I’m hoping these are not true…but I fear that they are. What about that wonderful vocalist …Jessica Espinoza? She was the best audition, imo. A bit shocked she’s not there and many less-deserving are.

I apologise up front for this… but I thought Flameboy Jason Brock was less than ‘meh’…really just a silly, glittery cartoon. Seriously?

  • Whatiswrongwithus

It’s not about whether the kids are accomplished as someone below mentioned or whether they are the same age as those of Idol (Lauren, Scotty or Jessica). Basically if the list above was accurate, then the emphasis for X factor this year, would be on teeny boppers. Besides having 4 13 year olds in the show (bearing in mind last season they only had Rachel and Astro), they changed the entire format to be able to SQUEEZE in more kids (12-14s category + groups who are mostly 15-19), narrowed the gap for the talent between 20s to late 20s, and completely threw wide open the OVERs category from 25 – 60?????? I mean, this whole format i feel doesn’t allow enough balanced talented acts to come in.
Although Idol always had a few teenage contestants, Idol still seems to have more of a balance in terms of age or talent e.g last year Erika, Elise or back in David Cook’s year, alot of late 20s contestants.
If this list is true, then this year the X factor is just BIZARRE for me. And to think i usually defend X factor as being one of the better singing reality shows.. NOT.

  • Mateja Praznik

It’s not bizarre. Major labels like to sign teenagers or artists in early twenties. That’s just how it is in the music industry, especially with pop artists. They have to start young. It’s more bizarre when they present a bunch of over 30s as serious contenders.

  • elliegrll

Simon is worried about the ages of the viewers.  So, he’s going to cast people who he things can appeal to those who are under the age of 25, both because of their age, and their style.

  • Whatiswrongwithus

Then what is Susan Boyle? Although true that is a different show, then back to my point again about X Factor – what’s the point of having the OVERs category? Isn’t that what makes X factor different from Idol? These poor older but EQUALLY talented fogeys should be auditioning for the Voice then. They stand a better chance if that’s the case. I just hate it when Simon says his show is to allow people from ALL ages have a chance at stardom when truth of the matter is he has a different agenda.

  • http://twitter.com/Miztig Miz

Regarding ages of Idol contestants, here is a nifty wiki page that lists them for all seasons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_Idol_finalists

I’m glad that Paige appears to have made it through. I like her a lot. Also glad the girl with the pigtails is out. She annoyed me. Ditto the ‘bullied girl’. I felt she and her story were bogus.

  • http://twitter.com/Sassycatz Sassycatz

I think Simon likes the youngsters because they are very easily moldable and don’t even have to have a great deal of actual talent to hit it big. Case in point. “One Direction.” Tweens don’t care if their entertainers can actually sing or dance or whatever. They just care about cute and poppy and happy. In “the old days” these kids had to be able to sing, like Donny Osmond and Michael Jackson. Now, with autotune, who gives a crap if there’s actual talent underneath all that fluff. So, yeah, it’s much easier to sell empty air to an undiscriminating demographic.

Simon’s PT Barnum, not Berry Gordy.

  • fuzzywuzzy

“-Four different 13-year-olds.  This could lead to a lot of “turn off the TV” levels of awkwardness on elimination nights. ”

Ugh. The meltdowns that Rachel and Drew had when they were eliminated last year were awful. Not entertaining to watch in any way.

  • fuzzywuzzy

    Of course they aren’t.

  • fuzzywuzzy

“Some people with great auditions have a complete meltdown in bootcamp.”

This happens on Idol too. Once past the auditions (where contestants sing a song that they have practiced forever), some contestants have real problems with handling the pressure of singing assigned songs or songs they have to choose from a list of ones that they don’t know.

  • mileyfan123

There is a big difference between 16 or 21 and 13.

  • http://twitter.com/newbornstarr Wally.

UM, I wouldn’t trust Examiner. I would trust Jorks spoilers more.

  • http://twitter.com/Sassycatz Sassycatz

There is a big difference between 16 or 21 and 13.

13 year olds can like and become fans of contestants who are 16 or — gasp — even 21! I don’t think tweens can only relate to artists who are 13.

  • http://twitter.com/Miztig Miz

When I was 12 and 13, I did not relate to any singers or groups my own age. To me they were bubblegum for kiddies. I don’t think that has changed at all.

  • http://twitter.com/eilonwya10 Eilonwy

That’s actually the normal pattern for promoting artists (music, books, films) to the young adult market. The teenish are eager to be slightly older, so you sell 16-year-olds to the 13/14 market and 18-year-olds to the 16 market. Only in college does it start leveling out and your market wants to relate to people their own age.

So the 13/14 performers are aimed at pre-teens, not at the middle-school crowd that’s their peers.

  • fuzzywuzzy

“Simon’s PT Barnum, not Berry Gordy.”

When Simon admitted in an interview with Anderson Cooper that he would rather own McDonald’s than a 3 star Michelin restaurant, that pretty much said it all.

  • HermeticallySealed

When I was 13 I don’t think there were groups my age, outside of Kids Incorporated or some other cheesy schlock. Pretty much all singers were 18+.

  • Mateja Praznik

Yes, the overs category makes X Factor different from Idol. But the reality is that it’s hard to launch someone in late twenties or thirties as a relevant artist, especially in pop music. Susan Boyle was on a different show and she sold well because her audition went viral.

  • http://twitter.com/KariannHart Kariann Hart

There are a few talented singers I might follow, but TBH I am not impressed.  The Voice is looking better and better each week.

  • elliegrll

I think that we’ve seen with idol alums that once someone reaches a certain age, it becomes very hard to launch a commercially viable career.  They can still get work singing, or even cash off their celebrity, but it is incredibly difficult, but not impossible, for someone who is over 30 to launch a pop career.

  • elliegrll

These poor older but EQUALLY talented fogeys should be auditioning for the Voice then. They stand a better chance if that’s the case.

How can you say that?  Nobody from the Voice has achieved anything on a large commercial scale, and it can be argued that one of the biggest obstacles in the path of the two winners is their age.  Javier wears hats for a reason, not only does it hide his bald spot, but it also masks his age.

  • chillj

Rachel comes to my mind often when I’m thinking of why not to watch this show.  That was horrible, and the show seems to have a morbid interest in that age group.

  • http://twitter.com/raya4 raya

This for me too.  Part of why I couldn’t get into X Factor last season, or why I was in a way actively turned off, was because I had no desire to watch 13 year olds have meltdowns on stage.  The whole thing just made me uncomfortable and it seems like this season will have a similar focus, which makes me reluctant already.  I know people complain sometimes about the Idol age limit being too low as well, but I think there is a world of difference maturity wise between a 13 year old and even a 16 year old.  At least by 16 you are unlikely to get the on-stage meltdowns, or at least those kids aren’t being put through.

  • http://twitter.com/nickkndhaley588 Mr.ReiNhart!

REALLY?!?!?! Lyric da queen over jill jensen or jessica espinoza????? i HOPE this is not true. and no jefferey gutt?!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/blkeener Brittany Keener

” the show is geared towards those viewers who are 25 and under.  He wants people to know that this is the opposite of American Idol.”

Idol is 15-29….with majority of its live contestants under 24. The only difference is that Simon allows 13 year olds to reign his show…and the examples set forth last year proved 13 year olds are not ready for this (ie. Astro’s outburst, Rachel’s breakdown)

  • harvestmoon

Simon is worried about the ages of the viewers.  So, he’s going to cast people who he things can appeal to those who are under the age of 25, both because of their age, and their style.

But the viewers he should be aiming for are in the 18-49 demo, or maybe the 18-34 demo.  Not the 12-18, which is what this group of contestants seems aimed at.

This attitude of XF’s is the same reason why this show has had such a strong presence on social media like Twitter, yet has had disappointing ratings so far.  The really young people they are drawing in are not what the advertisers and sponsors want or are paying for, and this will ultimately decide the fate of the show.

  • http://twitter.com/MissGolightly22 No Thanks

Have you even SEEN Lyric Da Queen yet? Her audition hasn’t aired.  A little quick to make a judgement on that.

  • http://twitter.com/MissGolightly22 No Thanks

I hope Arin Ray does make it.  He deserves a shot.  I noticed that there are a lot of hip hop/rap acts going through.  I also appreciate that because those type of artists are SORELY lacking on Idol and The Voice (particularly Idol).

I’m liking Emblem 3′s chances right now.  I hope Paige does well, not entirely convinced about her yet but she looks good on paper.

I think CeCe is there just so she can be cut Week 1.  Remember they need to 5 acts the first week.  I think CeCe is just fodder.

Older singers don’t seem to stand much of a chance on the Voice either (see  Michael Slezak’s comments after Yolanda Barber’s audition (http://tvline.com/2012/09/25/the-voice-recap-season-3-episode-7-cassadee-pope-yolanda-barber ) for more on this).

I don’t think that this list is right. The Examiner article cites vote for the worst as the source for their information. But if you look at the vote for the worst article, it was posted in August. And the judge’s house cuts for the 12 – 16 category were made in early September. So not everyone on this list in that category made it through to the live rounds. As for the names in the other categories, not all of them listed made it through to the live rounds either. Some just made it to the judge’s homes and were cut there. This list here is more up to date: http://jorkvstptb.blogspot.ca/2012/05/x-factor-us-2-spoilers.html

  • http://twitter.com/50watts Ronald Watts

All they needed to make a ratings comeback was Panda and Combs-hell they could run the rest of the show with just these two to pick a winner and I’ll be happy

Since there are 4 groups, and 17 contestants, I will look for the top 10. First I’ll start with:

    A. Solo singers group ages 12-16. In this group I will choose:

    1. Arin Ray
    2. Carly Rose Sonenclar
    3. Diamond White

    B. Solo singers group ages 17-24. I will choose:

    1. Jennel Garcia
    2. Paige Thomas
    3. Cece Frey

    C. Solo singers ages 25 and over. I will choose:

    1. Tate Stevens
    2. Jason Brock

    D. Groups. I’m choosing the following group:

    1. Emblem3
    2. Girl group

That is if this spoiler list is true.

I wish Freddie Combs had been kept on … but mark my words, he’ll be back as a special surprise much later. They will probably have him walk on the stage (with L.A.) and sing his song again…after losing say another 100 pounds or so.

They should have kept Panda instead of CeCe. However, ratings will go up if they  put CeCe and Tara together, maybe have them bunk in the same room…..

It’s too damn bad that Simon, et al didn’t turn around and SEE the young girls going crazy over Jeff Gutt.  He may BE 36, but he looks 26 and gorgeous.  This catering to the under 18 crowd on a national TV show instead of the Disney Channel is ridiculous.  The Beatles were all over 20 when they hit the shores of the US in 1964-and most bands during the British Invasion and most future ROCK GROUPS were full of MEN. It wasn’t until the Jackson Five/Osmond Brothers/Cowsills that mainstream radio began to be plagued with CHILDREN as artists.

  • http://twitter.com/AndyRantz AndyRantz

Let’s be real, Carly Rose Sonenclair is winning X Factor. Everyone else is working to at least make finals.

I could see Emblem 3 actually becoming fairly successful if they were to do well. Tate Stevens could also do decent in the country field.

Outside of that, I see almost no potential to legitimately break onto the scene and have mainstream success. MAYBE Arin Ray or Carly if Simon/LA play their cards right.

  • http://twitter.com/sambaboy9230 Daniel Fernandez

Tara gets cut, she said on twitter that she didnt make live shows. these spoilers are inaccurate. Cece makes it though, but she is talented just has an awful attitude and will be used as fodder

Jedward are sooooo much better than Wagner. ;)
But seriously… 2 Shoes and Johnny Robinson last year? It’s like they were chosen only to be targets to go home. Johnny was lucky Jonjo was super boring and he got to stay in.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HK7FNMRJ76QOEDQQV7SMIXIFX4 Jenna

I personally think that the show made HUGE errors in leaving out Dinah Jane and Jeffrey Gutt. I would rather have these two in the top 17 over at least half of those that made it.

Tara Simon??  Really?  It pisses me off that shows like this waste spots that could host talented people for these types of shat-disturbing individuals thinking that it will increase ratings.  It won’t.

Not even a huge country girl, but I honestly think I’ll be pulling for Tate Stevens this season.

One4Five with Lyric Da Queen added would be sick. They are all really good. They are real rappers…something the show was lacking last year. I’m also excited for the girl group, all the 12-16s, Jennell, David, Vino, and Tate. There is a lot of talent this season.

  • Klaine

Its interesting they added a kid category..which can win with little girl votes and reduced # of idol aged contestants..I wish they’d get rid if groups if they can’t find them. I know this is what makes xf different but when they have to manufacture groups every tear I hate it..despite 1D and Little Mix success. Do a separate show where a group is created..wasn’t that done already? So will we get more little kids crying again..dont need to see another meltdown

Plus everyone wants to know what happened to panda? They didn’t show her at boot camp & didn’t tell us what happened.. bad producing after they spent so much time on her the week before

  • Klaine

Overs always get shafted due to age of viewers and older people watch less & definitely don’t vote a lot if any..amazing josh got to #2 last year..but again a year passed & no album..xf contestants haven’t been marketed well ..not at all…is Melanie even going to break even and earn Simon five million..he should make her cohost to save $$.

I hope this year they show more behind the scenes stuff & mentoring..another thing could differentiate the show as voice has only showed the same practicing song with coach foe every contestsnt

  • Klaine

Maybe the show is vying for a spot on nickelodean

  • Klaine

Yeah I ain’t looking for a female bieber..and I’m not a 12 year old girl so Simon isn’t interested in my viewer ship..unless commercials are going to be for cocoa krispies & american dolls & McDonalds kid meal with a mini Demi toy

  • whoisthatwoman

Bleh on all these $5M comments.  It has been discussed many times before…there are MANY strings attached to seeing that dough.

  • whoisthatwoman

Just can’t get on the Tate Stevens bandwagon…he’s pretty good, but an overweight, past his prime Garth.

  • Whatiswrongwithus

Ugh.. That’s it, I’m done with this show. Still hoping it’s not truly accurate. How could Xf not take in Jeffrey Gutt??!! He had a damn authentic rocker voice and he would have helped ratings Simon, for the older women at least who are in the 18-49 demo. Pfffft.

“I personally think that the show made HUGE errors in leaving out Dinah Jane and Jeffrey Gutt.”

    Agreed.

“It’s too damn bad that Simon, et al didn’t turn around and SEE the young girls going crazy over Jeff Gutt.  He may BE 36, but he looks 26 and gorgeous.  This catering to the under 18 crowd on a national TV show instead of the Disney Channel is ridiculous.”

    TOTALLY 100% agreed.

I can think of either Panda or Jeffrey Gutt taking his place. Tate may be a nice country singer, but his voice is really nothing special at least IMHO.
Seems like LA Reid has the weakest group. There’s no way anyone in this category will win. Maybe only reaching top 5, and that would either be Jason or vino.

  • Mateja Praznik

Are you serious? Why would LA Reid want to sign 36-years old rocker? He has no use for him. And I think TPTB know that male rockers are like crack for older female voters. So, they removed him before the live shows.

In the preview I saw LA Reid after they told him he got the overs this year. He was totally pissed off. But, if the spoilers are true, at least he has that old country singer. But, I don’t think La Reid wants to sing anyone older. Under 25s and groups are the desired acts for him.

NO Panda and Sister C???!!!!! Well, that means I can now move on to watch some other show instead of XF.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/XDQP2Y46M5B3OHOKALDDGDHQCM Leandro

At this point we almost don’t need any spoiler. These are basically trhe contestants that are having some spotlight. lol

  • merkureye

What ARE the strings attached to get the $5 million?  I have not followed the XF before this year.  Just wondering.

  • http://twitter.com/magnoliafan82 Dylan

since we have a top 24 for Judges Houses as opposed to a top 32 last year i think we’ll have only 3 per category not 4 since thats what they’ve done on the UK show

  • fuzzywuzzy

I hope that it’s true that Tara is out. She was a poor singer who thought that she was much better than she was.

  • wkstrack

I think it makes sense that Demi got the Under 25s. I don’t think LA really made the best song selections for his category last season. Better song choices than Simon? Yes. But his song choices were pretty predictable and lame. Demi has been actually a good judge so far and I think she has a pretty eclectic taste in music.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/XDQP2Y46M5B3OHOKALDDGDHQCM Leandro

I was watching an interview with Cece and I looked her twitter and FB too. She seems to be much sweeter than her edited version. I’m wondering if they are using her as a villain cannon fodder or if they will “CherLloydize” her. She’s one of the best singers, IMO.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/DY5236XYY2SBL7EJNTK5ROIGMA Madred

You may not like Tate, but you may want to get used to him. I have a feeling he’ll end up in the finals. WGWG is moving over to X-Factor

  • genius13

I don’t hear too many people mentioning David correy….am I the only one who thinks his voice is really good…he sounded amazing when when. Sang mercy

  • http://twitter.com/HighTensions Jake Williams

    Jeff? Is that you?

  • merkureye

I didn’t think I would like any groups but I really like Emblem3.  They are completely authentic.  They have swag in a semi-naive kinda way, and are talented.

I was watching Cece Frey in the background during Emblem3′s bootcamp performance.  I’m thinking that Cece’s boyfriend may soon hear, to the left, to the left, everything you own in the box to the left. . . .

I like Cece too.  She’s getting a “bitch” edit but confidence is very attractive. . . .don’t you think?

  • http://twitter.com/HighTensions Jake Williams

Hoping Jillian is a surprise wildcard.

  • http://twitter.com/rainbow_sun1 rainbow_sun

he is just ordinary. i see many like him every time i’m going to an open night mic. cute’ nice voice, c’est tout. panda on the other hand– she has the funniest personality and a huge, indeed legendary, voice.

  • http://twitter.com/rainbow_sun1 rainbow_sun

    who did u like?

Tried not to read spoilers, but could not resist the temptation.

They travelled across the country and really found great people. So it is always a big disappointment, if they will choose to top16 people, that leave one cold totally, it is like having different senses with the panel. Paige and Cece were for me like that, and the latter even very annoying as a person. That is 2 personal spots away from the talented people, if there were better.
Well, to me Ally feels like a future star (like Simon himself said) (and CeCe most certainly does not). Lauren Jarogui was also marvelous, and also Jillian and Julia certainly contained X-factor (or Normani and Dinah!), but the two spots went to Paige and Cece. Sigh. What is the use of finding NICE people with the talent, if you do not give them chance?

It may be, because Simon wanted to manufacture girl band, that the spots went to Paige and Cece etc. But I somehow feel, that it is wrong, if you do not put the best talents personally through – it feels like too much manufacturing. If you will put the best personal talents through, AFTER that you can manufacture groups, I think.
So I am very disappointed, that Cece is thought to be now 1 of the 16 best acts in this show, it is insane.

Otherwise the list is quite ok, although I would have replaced David Correy with Daryl. Jennel is my favorite number one, so at least I am happy they did not throw her out.

And having complained about the manufacturing instead of putting the best personal talents through, manufacturing itself is kind of nice and good, because it gives us a chance to see the above mentioned great singers again, and we could not have seen them ALL again without manufacturing. It is very nice thus giving these great people some kind of chance and also experiences of the live shows.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/NWXRUOY5BTHY5F52JP3ZFJTTVI Mikko

She has left me completely cold, but I sure do hope she will prove I am wrong. And it is true, how much damage editing can do. But I must say, although I know it attracts Simon, I find her “confidence” arrogant and even aggressive (and desperate), I do not in general like that kind of attitude. The air around you speaks for you also, you do not have to try to order the world.

What I respect in her is, that she is really living the American dream: working daily as postal clerk and being now in the spot where she is. She has courage. Got to respect that.

  • http://www.facebook.com/aleeatorio Alexandre Oliveira

I hope Jillian Jensen gets through at Wildcard, she’s good

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002033520082 Brian Thurman

since it’s suppose to be judges house next week how are they going to play it out until Nov 1st for live shows?

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/XDQP2Y46M5B3OHOKALDDGDHQCM Leandro

Cher Lloyd on X-Factor UK was absolutely cocky. Now you see her in any interview and she looks like genuinely shy and sweet (sometimes a little bit cocky, but who isnt?). Edition can do miracles. She’s just a little bit delusional, IMO. What I’m sure is that Tara Simmon is indeed kinda cray cray and delusional, just like Dexter Haygood was. They are using these people only because they make good TV.

  • http://twitter.com/sambaboy9230 Daniel Fernandez

you’re weird. panda and sister c are awful

  • teekee

Cece’s certainly getting the “bitch” edit, but I don’t hold that against her.It wouldn’t be reality tv if someone didn’t get screwed in the editing.

I too find confidence (some will call it cockiness) attractive. It’s just that once you present yourself in this way, you must deliver. While she’s been good, she hasn’t been great. I enjoy her enough to watch her, but not actually vote for her. Ofcourse the same can be said for most of them.

  • http://twitter.com/sambaboy9230 Daniel Fernandez

I think some of you guys take this too seriously. if your favorite got cut so what?  ever heard of moving on? lol

  • jpfan2

I finally caught up on the this week’s episodes of the show so I focused my attention on the ones that made it through. I have to say that while the show was entertaining it’s kind of shocking how tired most of the talent is. Even the young kids seems old.  I blame Simon whoses taste level seems to have solidified in the stone age.

I guess a group will win this thing because the Pop acts just don’t have what it takes to make it. The guys are either too young or too old and the thought of some Bway type 13 year old winning this is just blech.

  • iluvai

I don’t like her. I hope she goes away soon.

  • lukien

well i like this year talents better than last year. I think simon got it right this time. Also better judges and better bts production. In britney’s catgry, i like those three girls, the boy arin, not really, i dont find him x-factor enough. Of those three 13yo, i like carly the most.
I like all the 4 hopefuls in demi’s quarter. I like the semi-hate tension between paige and cece. As some have pointed out, cece is cocky but she has the good to back her up, besides she aint that evil. I cant help but liking willie. At first i was making scotty eh i mean britney faces when watching his audition but after the hollywood week, eh i mean bootcamp, i really like his dte persona, as for his voice, i agree wholeheartedly with britney, altho he could take vocal lessons to enhance it, the chop is there. I dun understand the love for jennel during audition, but same with willie, she won my heart during miami week. In simon’s group, i like emblem3 the most, hehehe not really, i like drew the most, he reminds me of a young dean from supernatural. Their voices ehmmm … Hope they can get better in live shows. Just wiki them, their uncle is directing jolie right now, cool! I like johnny, dinah and laurn from the boyb and girlb, but somehow dont think it could work. Which one is one4five again? I cant really recall, the two guys with vampire eye? Lyric da queen is good, but she’s better as a solo or a featured artist like nicki minaj i guess. If i have to root for a group, it’s easy it’s emblem3. My only dissatisfaction (is this the correct word?) is in la’s group. Where the heaven is jefrey??? I think he’s much much much better than those two tattoo guys. I like jason, he is who he is and he is fabulous, and his voice is great too. Tate is referred as a wgwg, but in my mind wgwg is always young and gorgeous hahaha, anywho i still like him, altho not sure if he can go very far. So the ‘look at me’ woman didnt make it thru? Good! Altho i am gonna miss geri’s song as her soundtrack. Hope they play it for the 3rd and final time this week during judge’s houses. Btw did anybody notice that they kept writing vino’s age as 39 then changed to 40 then changed to 39 again then to 40 again. What’s going on? Lastly, my top 4 is carly, jennel, emblem3 and jeffrey. I know one of them wasnt in the spoiler, just wish the spoiler is wrong or he’s the wildcard.

  • http://twitter.com/KariannHart Kariann Hart

Brian, I think one week will be taken up with the World Series games.  Glee won’t be on either.  Then again, there is DWS and The Voice to watch. ;o)

  • Karen C

How could Xf not take in Jeffrey Gutt??!! He has a damn authentic rocker voice and he would have helped ratings Simon, for the older women at least who are in the 18-49 demo. Pfffft.

Exactly, he’s just the type that would have done well in the show and brought in new viewers that have been fans of AI the past 5 or 6 years.   And I know they are looking for something different on the show, but I think he was the best of his category.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/NWXRUOY5BTHY5F52JP3ZFJTTVI Mikko

Sophie Tweed Simmons said long before Tara did, that (having been in tv before) she believes, that that scene where Tara was made to look jealous towards Sophie, was mainly fabricated, not real. And they did not and do not have war between them. When Tara wanted to explain and apologize from Sophie, she really did not need to do that, because Sophie understood all these editing things, and Tara was relieved.
So Sophie appers to me quite a clever and nice person – and she is great friends with CeCe. So from there I figure, that Cece cannot be that nasty and is able to make friends with people.

“Reality”tv is not reality tv, but fabricated tv and to me it is not good tv. They could use the time they now use building fabricated toxic scenes, that really hurt people, to show the wonderful performances of these great talents. Tara is for example now receiving a lot terrible words, and however tough she would be, she will siffer from this A LOT. I have seen, how her acquantences and friends have tried to defend her in the net, but once you will get a label, that’s it.(and you not even a rich celeb)

But you know, just as little I like it, that in X-factor they are talking about 5 million in every other sentence, I do not like the sort of pushy spirit in both Tara and CeCe, although they would have also received nasty editing. I think it is quite impossible to have deep creativity and sensitivity, if your spirit is to push forward and gain more and more.

And ultimately it is the question of performing and singing. CeCe does not look natural to me and she does not sound natural to me. She sings well, but I have not even once felt a moment from her, where i would have been touched. it is sort of outwardly show. And in her group category there were plenty of people, who really touched me. So to me, putting her through is like wasting precious treasures (of others).

But like I said, I hope she proves I am wrong, and she will start have her real moments also to me.

  • irockhard

The overs category is really just fodder anyway so it doesn’t really matter to them who they put in that group, I mean how often does any over actually get signed?

  • fuzzywuzzy

Josh Krajcik, the runner-up from last season, was an “over 30″ and it appears that he’s been signed.

    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/earshot/x-factor-josh-krajcik-adele-producer-album-293470

Plus, he’s done well in attracting audiences for his shows (at least 2 shows sold out at ~1,500 attendance). I agree, though, that generally speaking, the “over” group has a slim chance of being signed.

  • kmd23

I agree that Carly Rose is going to win. I thought that Willie Jones would be in the final 17 so I am not surprised to see him listed now. I still think Reed Deming will be in the top 17 not that I am a fan but I am sure that someone younger is going to win this.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/VF2F5MLIYUESJ2WWCKJSB234YE Paolo Ravenclaw

crying a river cause they cut panda and jillian. what the hell

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_25ADE75Z34MQLVMNQMVP3XZIAI Claudia B

Noo, I wanted Reed to make it through. I think he sings better than Arin, but that’s just me.

  • http://twitter.com/sambaboy9230 Daniel Fernandez

you’re crazy. arin is miles better than reed. check your ears lol

  • http://twitter.com/ItsTeamJay Lea Loves Jay

I think people need to watch out for Jennel. I could really see her winning.

  • http://twitter.com/KatiesUVULA Katie’s Uvula

I was just gonna say. WTF is up with no guys between 17-33 years old? This is gonna be a real WAFFLE FEST. At least Emblem3 and the manufactured boy band will have some. Even last year there were no hotties, so much so that Josh Kracjyk with his cave man appearance was the “sexy guy” of the season. =___=

  • http://twitter.com/KatiesUVULA Katie’s Uvula

WAIT. So you are complaining that someone so UNMARKETABLE like Panda was cut and yet you are saying that Cece Frey with her amazing voice (yes her personality has been EDITTED to be b*tchy) should be cut? She’s the Cher Lloyd of the season and we know how successful she got. PLUS, Simon doesn’t have the 17-24 so why blame him? Blame Demi.

I’m mad that Reed didn’t make it =__= And we don’t need Jessica Espinoza if we have Allison Iraheta (and where is she now? Exactly)

  • http://twitter.com/KatiesUVULA Katie’s Uvula

LMAO. Um no? Jeff Gutt is 36 and Josh is 30, so last year Jeff was NOT Josh’s age last year.

  • http://twitter.com/KatiesUVULA Katie’s Uvula

Wow I’m surprised LA actually put through a diverse group of people. Last year, he completely and selectively picked urban acts/hip hop/rap singers. But why Vino Allen?! Really? After he effed up in bootcamp!

  • Karen C

It wouldn’t have mattered if Josh was 30, 36, or 46, he would have been in the same category, as was with Jeff, it wouldn’t affect how well he did at this stage.  IMO, from what I’ve seen on Youtube with Jeff, he was just as, if not more marketable than Josh was last year.

Having watched both the UK and US versions of the X Factor, I think last year, some of the overs were taken more seriously on the US version than the UK version.

  • wkstrack

Willie Jones is there and he’s a dude lol But he’s probably a gimmick contestant and will probably be out in the first few weeks of the live shows.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/QIDTRGRXPNVQYMWUD3E3WKYBG4 Carmen

Well. I think Diamond White and Carly did exceptionally well. Perhaps even better than the older people.

  • wkstrack

If the XF has the same kind of viewing audience/voters as Idol (the over 35+ crowd) then the Overs will be probably be popular with the voters. Vino Alan, Tate Stevens and David Correy are kinda the XF version of WGWGs/frau bait from Idol..

  • Diana Kaplan

I bet the bullied girl (can’t even remember her name) will be the WILD card.

Any other ‘save’ would be a waste.

  • Leah Tevez

Actually pretty obvious. No one really liked them. They were generic and they were sort of in direct competition with the Lylas and promptly lost in that showdown. Besides, you know Simon has an ego…he wants the groups HE made to make it thru and so far, who can disagree?

  • Leah Tevez

Cece has talent even tho she’s really annoying. The one I’m shocked about is Jillian Jensen since they’ve edited this Demi/Jillian story so far. I bet she makes the wildcard.

  • poipugirl

Okay, just now read the spoilers.  Britney nailed her choices. Arin reminds me of Usher.

Who the hell is this Panda that you are all arguing about?  Actually, I don’t really care.  But why keep arguing if he/she didn’t make it?

  • Manuel Baquero

Children are the best this year…are you hearing right?
