During her concert at Gillette stadium, outside of Boston, Taylor Swift was joined by the legendary Carly Simon to sing a duet of her classic hit, “You’re So Vain.”

In this official video, Taylor gushes about what a perfect break up song “Your So Vain” is. Taylor may be known as the break up queen, but back in the 70s, confessional singer/songwriters like Carly and Joni Mitchell were pouring their heartbreak out into song. Taylor could learn a thing or two from those bold ladies.

    I really enjoyed that performance!

Loved it! I absolutely love Carly Simon! Taylor is growing on me too.

I was there and it was AMAZING! I took my granddaughter. Not an empty seat, beautiful night, a zillion kids in cowboy boots, hats, and tons of signage and let’s not forget RED and red lipstick!

Carly Simon suffers from stage fright. I wonder what she thought when Taylor said 55,000 people! This is a wonderful duet but Taylor should take a break from break-up songs for a while.

I love Carly Simon. Her Martha’s Vineyard concert is amazing. Mick Jagger sang on the orginal “You’re So Vain.” A lot of people thought YSV was meant for him. If so, asking him to sing with her would have been pretty bold and pretty awesome. Carly dated a lot of guys who might fit, including Warren Beatty and Cat Stevens.

I’m a big Carly Simon fan from way back. Nice of Taylor to show such respect for her with this duet.

ya ya …whatever, Taylor. You and everyone else knows it is about Warren Beatty. Not really such a coveted secret.

Ironic though, how Carley cloaks an air of mystery around the subject of her (relationship) scorn…and Taylor freely names the boys who ‘done her wrong’, even without any prompting. Lol.

Most of Taylor’s fans wouldn’t know it’s about Beatty. In fact, most of Taylor’s fans probably don’t know who Warren Beatty is! The follies of youth. LOL, indeed!

i just don’t get taylor’s appeal – she can barely sing and she has the stage presence of a beautiful brick.

That was cute. Taylor could absolutely learn from Ms. Simon. I will say one thing for Swifty, she sure did find a niche that has paid off handsomely for her.

Carly Simon confirmed in an interview a while back it was not Warren Beatty.

LOL… her awkward, excessive poses again.
