According to K105FM out of Fort Wayne IN, American Idol Season 10 winner, Scotty McCreery, is set to perform on the American Idol results show, next Thursday May 15. The news leaked after Scotty had to cancel a radio appearance with the station scheduled for the same day.
If you are wondering how a performance from Scotty will be squeezed into a half hour results show, the answer is simple! Next Thursday’s Idol will be expanded to one hour. The freshman comedy Surviving Jack, which had been airing after Idol at 9:30 completes its run tonight. (FOX announced the show’s cancellation this morning, in fact.)
Next week’s Top 3 results show will be expanded to one hour.
That should be a nice appearance for Scotty. It will maybe help take his mind off of the horrible home invasion he had to endure earlier this week.
