At tonight’s holiday StageIt show, Kris Allen dedicated his final song to all those affected by the tragedy in Newtown Connecticut. The new song, was written before last week’s horrible events, but the lyrics make for a beautiful and heartbreaking tribute.

If you check it out, make sure to have tissues handy. Bravo, Kris.

This song is heartbreaking and beautiful - it infuses loss with honor and beauty.

StageIt also allows the artist to talk directly to the fans, via the chat function. Kris did a Q&A during the encore part of his show last night. Unless you buy a M&G ticket, or hang around long after a gig ends in hopes that an artist will come out to mingle with the fans aftr a gig, that’s something you don’t always get at shows in actual venues.

I imagine he will do that song in Ct I am curious about what inspired Kris to write the song to begin with. It’s so different from his other music

Kris has done 2 stageit shows for charity and I’m glad this wasn’t one.His fans really wanted a Christmas show and it took a lot of preparation.Because I live in NY,I see Kris a lot but a lot of fans don’t.

Absolutely, that was my thought exactly.
Kris said that he writes songs based or loosely based on his experiences with friends / family, so what happened…and who was Amy ? (if I heard it correctly)

Agreed also with the second thought, I want to see Kris make some money from these shows because he makes me happy. :)

What does Sandy Hook need with a few dollars from StageIt?  I hope Kris keeps it.  These StageIt artists are not Carrie who can afford to give away thousand$.

I have listened to this song twice and cried my eyes out both times. I love it when a song covers emotion. This song and this singer do that to the max.

Love the song and hope that Kris will record it and make it available to buy, whether on his new album or by itself.  Kris has so many songs written, I wish he recorded and released them all!

This is a beautiful song and, in my opinion, Kris’s touching performance conveys the heartache that an entire nation/world feels for these families. Praying for the victim’s families, first responders, and survivors as they struggle through this holiday season.

As others have said, I would like to hear the story that inspired the lyrics to this song.
