American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez, paid tribute to the late Selena Quintanilla at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards Thursday night.
The singer/actress is famous for portraying the slain Tejano music star in the 1997 biopic. She took the stage with Los Dinos, the family band who backed Selena during her career.
While donning several Selena-inspired outfits, J.Lo performed her renditions of “Como La Flor,” “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” “Amor Prohibido,” “I Could Fall In Love,” and her finale “No Me Queda Mas.”
Selena was murdered by one of her fans in 1995–the woman who ran her fan club. Her death sent shockwaves through the hispanic community. Selena is what put Jennifer on the map more or less, so who better to pay tribute to her?
