Glee Season 4 – The Break Up – Sneak Peek Feat “Teenage Dream” (VIDEO)

Holy crap. Check out this preview from next week’s emotional Glee episode “The Breakup” All of the key couples, including Rachel/Finn, Kurt/Blaine, Santana/Brittany and Will/Emma are faced with some tough decisions regarding their long term relationships. Who will weather the storm? Who will break up? What really sucks, is that Glee will blow everyone up, basically, and then go on a 4 week World Series Break. Hooray. Not.

In this new preview, after Finn and Blaine drop in on Rachel and Kurt for a surprise visit, they head off to Call Backs, a cool little piano bar where the NYADA kids go to sing songs and “make merry.”

Blaine surprises Kurt with a slowed down, and SUPER EMOTIONAL version of “Teenage Dream”, the very first song Blaine ever sang to Kurt, and the tune that brought them together. I challenge you NOT TO FLIP OUT during this little snip. *CRIES*

I’m also throwing in a promo that features Finn singing “The Scientest”. Other songs featured in the episode are “Don’t Speak” sung by Rachel, Finn, Blaine and Kurt (BREAK UPPPPP), “Barely Breathing”, Taylor Swift’s “Mine” (Santana sings to Brittany) and “Give Your Heart a Break” (Rachel and Brody) I’ll have song previews up as soon as they are available.

Glee is an abomination and should be taken off tv.

  • DoesMonaKnow

Teenage Dream again? I guess this is the last song he’s ever going to sing to Kurt (at least until they get back together)?

  • HermeticallySealed

Fitting though, in a full circle kind of way.

Finn was expecting too much from Rachel.  If it was meant to be, it will be.  I don’t want a complete break-up of Blane and Kurt, but maybe they need more life experiences before it can work between them?

  • HermeticallySealed

    Agreed.  They all do, really.

  • Axxxel

Wow, the way Darren Criss sang that version of “Teenage Dream”… I have a feeling that I will love this version even more… *grabbing for tissue box*

  • Axxxel

I think it is his last desperate attempt to get Kurt back on his lovetrack… I guess it did not succeed…

At least Glee is scheduled at a later hour, so less children may watch… and I wonder whether Glee will survive the stiff competition on Thursday 9 ‘clock evening… also with all these breaks…. 4 weeks… after this emotional episode… pure torture for Glee fans… I guess non-Glee fans will just shrug their shoulders..

The “Teenage Dream” sequence in Season 2 (2 years ago) of Glee was indeed labelled by some as the gayest and happiest moment on Glee… I guess in this Season 4, the “Teenage Dream” sequence will be labelled as the gayest and saddest moment in Glee… “sob”… as if it marks the real end of highschool for the straight and gay couples… So it will be very much discussed in the Glee-universe… not sure about the people outside the Glee-Universe… they have other things to do…

  • HermeticallySealed

Honestly, I have never understood the brouhaha about the need to “protect” the children from Glee, outside of the idiotic anti-gay crowd.  I mean, I see far worse being shown on Jerry Springer at noon.

I am thrilled that they are using Darren’s version of Teenage Dream in this episode. It is so amazingly emotional. I really hope I make it through this episode……

At last some real acting from Darren.

    @jennyl2  … here is a tissue…. oops, it is already wet…. sorry…

I’m kinda glad to see Klaine and Finnchel break up.  THERE, I SAID IT.

From what I can see so far, I’m loving the stripped back and slowed down Teenage Dream much more than the original. The real acting and emotion displayed is also looking encouraging.

As far as characters breaking up, that’s pretty “real” too. Most high school romances don’t make it past freshman year anyway. Especially when one of the couple is in college and one is still in HS.

It should be interesting to see what develops between Finn and Rachel, and the acting, emotions, since they are a real life couple now too.

Where’s Santana??? Need me some Santana.
