The latest Glee Season 4 spoilers below!  Executive Producer, Brad Falchuk provides more insight into Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) move to New York City and his maybe break up with Blaine (Darren Criss). Will Sebastian (Grant Gustin) return? And more on The Glee Project winner, Blake Jenner’s upcoming role.

TV Line asked Glee EP, Brad Falchuk for a little more detail on the rumored break up of  beloved couple, Kurt and Blaine. Brad would not confirm a split, but he did reveal the circumstances that lead to what he calls a “rough patch.” :

I can’t [confirm that Klaine break up]. But I can confirm that they will hit a major rough patch in the Sept. 13 opener. “The real first obstacle for them is that Kurt is still in Lima and it’s kind of depressing,” explains Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk. “Kurt is a little bit stuck in his old life and Blaine really pushes him to go to New York.” Of course, Kurt’s move to the Big Apple paves the way for Speed Bump No. 2. “The distance [causes strain],” concedes the EP. “Kurt finds new things that excite him. The minutia of high school life is not quite as compelling to him, and that’s hard for Blaine. He can’t lean on Kurt the way he would have the year before. And I think it’s also strange for Blaine to be in this school that he came to really only for Kurt. He didn’t come because he wanted to go into public high school. So now he has to find his place [at McKinley] not as Kurt’s boyfriend.”

Also, there’s been a lot of talk about the return of Evil Gay Warbler, Sebastian Smythe, played by Grant Gustin. Ryan sort of seemed to maybe confirm it in a twitter party. But, according to TV Line, it’s not going to happen for now:

As of now, Grant Gustin is not going to be part of the show’s fourth season, although a rep for the actor says he remains “open to returning.

Our final item: Glee co-creator, Ryan Murphytweeted the name  Blake Jenner’s character. It’s Ryder.  And Ryan reveals, “Working on lots of great scenes for Blake and Cory Monteith!” Hm.  Episode 5 will mark the beginning of Blake’s 7 episode arc–the prize he won as the winner of The Glee Project 2.  Of course, if things go well, Blake’s arc could be extended–as it was for Season 1 winners, Damian McGinty,Samuel Larsen and Alex Newell).

ETA: Gloria Estefan tells Zap2it that she’s in talks with Ryan Murphy to return to Glee as Santana’s mom. “I want to have it out with that grandma,” says Gloria. Santana’s grandma rejected her when she came out last season. “It was not a nice thing. It was a very real thing; it’s stuff that happens in life. I just would never allow my mother to leave it like that with my daughter in any way, shape or form. I need to have it out with [the grandmother], and have some kind of reunion happen with them, because that’s just not acceptable in my book.”   Also, she was supposed to do a duet with Ricky Martin, but it got scrapped, “Originally they were going to do something with Ricky and me together, but then Whitney passed away, and their whole thing changed. They did that tribute, which wasn’t part of the plan.”

ETAHummelberry + SJP Dance Number! YAY!  Lea Michele tweeted, “Just finished such a fun dance rehearsal with @chriscolfer & Sarah Jessica Parker!!!! #SJPonGLEE and “At work shooting with @chriscolfer and the amazing Sarah Jessica Parker!!! This is such a dream come true!!!”
