David Cook’s “Come Back To Me” goes Gold

David Cook’s “Come Back to Me”, the third single off of his self-titled post-idol debut has gone gold, according to the tune’s co-writer,   Zac Maloy.

Maloy tweeted, “hey, i know how many of ya downloaded “Come Back to Me”. 500, 118…..wait a sec. that’s gold baby! congrats to @thedavidcook and his camp!!!”

Congratulations, indeed!

The album, David Cook was released November 2008 and quickly went platinum (over 1 million shipped). His Idol coronation song, “Time of My Life” and 1st single, “Light On” both went platinum (over 1 million copies downloaded).

Currently, David is writing and recording his next album, due out in early 2011.
