The new film, Struck by Lightning, written and starring Glee star and multi-hyphenate, Chris Colfer, had it’s Los Angeles premiere last night (Jan 6) Via Hollywood Reporter
Not only did Chris’s fellow SLB co-stars such as Sarah Hyland, Dermot Mulroney, Rebel Wilson, Ashley Rickards, Angela Kinsey and Roberto Aguire join him on the red carpet, but Glee co-stars, Darren Criss, Dot Marie Jones and Harry Shum Jr. were there too!
Here’s what Darren Criss had to say about attending the premiere:
“When I see anything that my friends are in, much less a few friends, my meter of what I like is completely blown out of proportion because I’m just like, ‘Yay! Go Chris!'” Criss told The Hollywood Reporter at the after party, held at EDEN. “Chris is such force of nature and I was so proud of him and what he created and what he’s done and his honesty with his life and the way he works. It’s really inspiring. So yes, yes I did enjoy it very much.”
Criss added that having the chance “to see the fruits of his labor was something I wouldn’t miss.”
Aw. Klaine forevah!
Chris introduced the show modestly to the audience, “I hope you guys like it,” he said, “My parents like it.”
Have you seen Struck By Lightning? What did you think? Here’s a confession. I haven’t seen the movie yet. I KNOW. To be honest, a movie about a high school kid who is robbed of his potential (Chris’s character is killed within the first 5 minutes, and then narrates the last few months of his life) seems a little…depressing? I wanted to at least wait until the holidays are over until I broke out the tissues.
Struck By Lightning is available for streaming on iTunes, You Tube, Amazon and On Demand.
