Brooke White stars in the latest Wal-Mart/P&G family night movie, set to air on FOX January 8, 2011.

In Change of Plans, Brooke plays Sally Danville, a “beautiful and free-spirited musician.”  Sally and her fighter-pilot husband, Jason, live free of domestic responsibilities until Sally is “met with the news that her best friend from college has died in a tragic accident on a Peace Corps mission and has named Sally the legal guardian of her four kids – 3 of them adopted from third-world countries.”

Phylicia Rashad from the Cosby Show plays the case worker who breaks the bad news to the carefree couple.  Of course, confusion ensues, lessons are learned and everyone lives happily ever after. It’s family movie night people!

You might remember Brooke blogging about the mysterious movie pilot she was shooting in Canada.  She didn’t spill much about the production, but did mention that she wrote 3 songs for the film, one with fellow Idol Michael Johns.

Randy Jackson is the producer of the soundtracks for the  Wal-Mart/P&G  Family Night movies.  The Idol judge, who executive produced Brooke’s album, High Hopes and Heartbreak, invited her to record songs for two previous Family Night movies, Secrets of the Mountain and The Jensen Project.  Michael wrote a song for the latest movie, A Walk In My Shoes, that premiered on NBC on Dec. 3.

I don’t know how Brooke made the leap from songwriter to actress, but I’m sure we’ll find out.

I want to know what’s in the box the littlest girl is holding. You know it’s something important if it made the photo. Pink shoe boxes are not the general cliche symbol of Hey We Are Kids in a Movie posters.

Will that mystery compel me to watch? Sadly, it might. ;)

    I love Brooke. That’s a stronger draw.

Even though this kind of movie ala Hallmark is hundred percent not my cup of tea (too much shiny, idyllic world-stuff for me), I’ll definetly watch this movie because of Joe Flanigan who’s not only a very talented actor, but also a wonderful person…
About Brook White, the woman who acts along the famous Joe Flanigan, sorry but I can’t say anything about her as I never ever have heard of her before.
And from what I’ve seen of her in the various trailer so far I think I haven’t really missed much until now. She appears to me like an average singer who pretends to be also an actor, and thereby hopes to sell more of her bread-and-butter songs. She’s certainly not my cup of tea, so I’ll concentrate my entire attention on Mr. Flanigan and simply blend her out.
