Jackie Wilson was eliminated from “American Idol, ” but her music career isn’t over — because she just recorded a song to be released on iTunes.

The video was filmed in Nashville three weeks ago, two weeks before Jackie was kicked off the show during last Thursday’s “Green Mile” episode.
TMZ has learned that Jackie plans on releasing the song on iTunes “in the near future.”

I suspect Jackie was cut loose because of her age (28) and her look. Which is too bad, because she can sing.
