Adam Lambert is performing a concert tonight at the St. Agathe en Feux Festival at Sainte-Agathe-des-monts, Quebec, Canada where he debuted a new song called “Outlaws of Love”. Listen to the audio below.

So pretty! I’ll have video up later when it becomes available.

“”Haha please not like the album version of Aftermath, please please”"

Heeheee. Smeggs! I agree. I wasn’t a fan of two songs on FYE, Loaded Smile and Aftermath. Way too much production, not enough voice. But, Aftermath grew on me live, especially as he lowered the register more and more on tour. It became one of my faves. I wouldn’t mind a power ballad on Outlaws, as long as the vocal is allowed to shine–crystal clear!!

I’m thinking back to power ballads, power singers of the 80′s that Adam has always reminded me of, vocally, that is. Sorry, they are gals. The Heart sisters and Pat Benatar. Pat Benatar was vocally trained as an opera singer, Adam has been trained that way too ( at least in part). Pat Benatar’s power ballads were produced to allow her voice to come through, and not be overshadowed by technical sounds. IMHO, Adam needs this.

I guess I am in a very small minority that loved the album version of Aftermath. I think on the album OOL is going to be even more powerful than what he did in concert. I can’t wait to see what they are going to do to it.

Actually there are alot of people who liked the album version of AM. Just not me hahaha and I really like Loaded Smile…haha tastes vary :D

just remember there are great 80′s power ballads and then there are really BAD 80′s power ballads lol

I understand what you mean but I kinda hope the sound isn’t throwback. But its so hard to tell where he plans to go with it for the album since its such a stripped down version.

I hope for at least some production, a full band perhaps. It would not take away from the vocals with a little more band effect. Especially in the chorus to make it more powerful. I don’t even know what I am trying to say. I love it the way it is but think it could be more powerful with a little more backing. It just needs to be plugged in a little, KWIM?

ETA Adam just tweeted: #outlawsoflove is NOT my first single. It will def be a track on my upcoming album, but the first single is still a mystery!!

  • LongKissGoodnight

but the first single is still a mystery!

    The phrasing makes me LOL.

Oh, boy! Adam kinds of hate YT. He knows that YT is a double-edged weapon. I love YT, but for him, should be difficult to swallow.

I don’t think he hates youtube gferna, he joked during the concert that fans would probably have OOL on youtube that night, and he tweeted one of the best youtubes of it himself.

If you’re talking about his tweet, pretty sure he was setting the record straight mostly for people who read Perez Hilton, who had just posted incorrectly on his site that OOL was his single. Perez may be a complete douche, but his site has a huge readership.

Very pretty, but I’m not a big fan of pretty. I thought the last album had too much of this type of thing, so I’m not thrilled that this is the first glimpse of the new album. Of course, the rest could be way different, so I’m not closing my ears yet.

This song is amazing, combined with Adam’s vocals its haunting and gorgeous and makes me want to cry, I cant stop listening to it. I definately think it will be different on the album but it wont be any less powerful I dont think. Amazing, amazing, Adam is so amazing………..

Agree with Mils and Smeggs on Aftermath. I did like the cd version but it took a while to grown on me. The acoustic was out-of-this-world for me in a second.

Sincerely hope that Adam’s description of OOL as a “lament” means that he intends to keep it this way. Also the fact that he has ruled it out as the single: sounds like it doesn’t have to be “popped up” to meet radio play requirements.

But we’ll have to wait and see.

Don’t give that hateful douche, perez hilton, ANY hits to his site. The man who proclaims to radiate love is a jealous hater with a self-serving agenda. Here’s what therealstevegray had to say:

NO you are not in the minority, I know many that love Aftermath as much as I do, my husband who is not an Adam fan, would get in the car and go right to Aftermath and turn it on, he said he thought it would be a hit, I didnt enjoy Loaded Smile so much but loved Aftermath in any form

I love all aspects of Adam’s music and I LOVE that he has so many different musical voices. OOL is sung beautifully and the lyrics are personal and heartfelt. I adore it. But sometimes I’m in the mood for OTT Adam – and there is lots of that. I get bored with one-dimensional performers I guess. Adam is never that.
