We are glamily. I’ve got all my Glamberts with me.

  • milwlovesadam

Whatever they call it, please, universe, send us good videos!!

Someone near and dear to fan’s  hearts called it “The Everywhere But Here Tour.”

Also, please universe, make a US tour happen. Need MOAR Adam.

Seriously, wishing them huge crowds, (most shows are sold out I hear ), great shows, great reviews, and interviews, photo ops.

  • dollydagger64

Actually, he doesn’t have all his Glamberts with him!!!!!!!! What about us!!!! Tour in the USA please!!

  • dollydagger64

But he doesn’t have all his Glamberts with him! What about the USA!!! Tears :(

  • Nadine_Bitch

    “The Everywhere But Here Tour.”

    I like that one better:)

  • sdmama

Wow, Japanese must really love Adam. 6 concerts? Speechless.

  • bridgette12

We are glamily is so predictable,  I like the non-tour better.

  • bridgette12

I can’t wait for the first concert to get some new videos. It’s going to an exciting time for Adam and the band. I would love to get the chance to go to places like Seoul, Singapore, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Helsinki. I hope they get the chance to get out and see some of the sights and enjoy the food and music.

  • seashellz51

Sorry but I dont think a US tour is happening folks. I think Adam and Shosh have addressed this more than once. Granted, there may be some one-offs but Adam has said repeatedly there wont be an official US tour and that he is going to work on new music after the #WeAreGlamilyTour. Personally, Im glad that Adam is visiting these countries and giving those fans a chance to see him. Im happy he is building his international fanbase. Its a big world out there and the US is not the only place that buys CDs and goes to concerts. I am also excited to hear ‘Stay’ in the full version. Crossing fingers that there are some vids!

    Next tour:

    Glamily Circus

  • milwlovesadam

There has been extensive coverage of these anticipated shows in each of the countries they will play. Magazine covers and photo-shoots, interviews, articles, billboards and ads, pull-out posters in magazines of Adam.

They love him in Asia, oh, if only he could get that love here. He has songs at the tops of the charts in several of those countries too. I saw an article with Adam at #1 for Tresspassing in Russia too.

  • Larc

Adam’s site shows a concert in Hong Kong on 3-5 in addition to those listed above.

  • http://twitter.com/riskyladyfla MASelva

Concert schedule also includes Hong Kong March 5th, 17 in total in 34 days. Short but intense!

  • mmb

The continued clamoring for a US tour make no sense in the face of Adams and his pr flacks repeated statements that he isn’t doing it and instead will be working on next album. People also seem to forget that Adam spent 2012 performing all over the us- 4-5 full concerts at casinos and fairs; 8-10 radio concerts; a long radio tour w a oustic performances; charity concerts like waff, cyndi lauper, marylanders for equality; the iheart radio concert, mlb fan cave; tv performances ( divas, idol, gma, ellen, leno, kimmel) So it’s not like there haven’t been plenty of opportunities to see him perform in the us this era

  • Axxxel

We are family, glamming, jamming, dancing with me

  • Axxxel

    LOL ! Hello Britney B*tch…

  • Axxxel

Remember Adam once said that “Glam is dead” in an interview early 2012 ? I have the feeling that the USA does not appreciate “Glam” as much as Europe and Asia does…

  • jammasta

    The Adam’s Glamily. Painfully obvious.

This is awesome! Good luck to Adam and crew on the upcoming tour :)

  • turquoisewaters

I am hoping against hope that they will tack on a couple of full-blown concerts in the US. I was at a number of those radio half-concerts, but there are still so many songs that I would love to hear live. I do realize this might not be his decision, but come on, Adam, those radio concerts were painfully short. And painfully short is not something you want your name associated with!

It will be at 4:00 AM … my central time.

  • Mateja Praznik

It looks like the priority for Adam and his team is not to waste more time. “Trespassing” era is done. He, his team and label want to move on. His plan is to go back to the studio. Hopefully we get new music ASAP.

  • http://twitter.com/MissGolightly22 No Thanks

True, there is nothing more to milk out of the Trespassing era.  I’m sure the goal is to get new music out this fall in time for Christmas shopping.

  • girlygirltoo

Adam tweeted the other day that he wouldn’t be doing a US tour as the plan is to start working on album #3 once he gets back from this mini international tour.

  • milwlovesadam

Oh, sheesh, I am fully aware of all the radio shows, countless interviews, and numerous appearances Adam made in  the states this year. He only had a handful of full concerts here ( Phoenix, Fantasy Springs, Winstar, Pacific Amphitheater ) and appearances with Cyndi Lauper and Nile Rogers, etc.

I myself saw him in Des Moines, and am so very glad I made the trip with other fans to see him at a radio show, sandwiched between Neon Trees and Train, cut short because Neon Trees went long. It was 6 songs. It was fabulous, but, not a whole show.

I saw a list somewhere with “everything” Adam did this past year, and it exhausted me to read it. He had interviews, shows, promos, photoshoots and/or travel almost every single day of 2012. He worked his ass off!

I am also fully aware that both he and Shashanna have made statements about there not being a formal Trespassing tour. It does sadden me. Because I encounter people frequently who didn’t even know about the Trespassing CD. Now that Idol is back for the season, when I am part of an Idol conversation, people inevitably talk about past faves, and are always mentioning Adam’s name. And it is universally in the context of “what has he done lately.”

In every single instance, I mention the new CD, Divas, and Queenbert. In every single instance they have no knowledge of any of it. These are people ranging in age from 16-75. It cuts across demographics. The lack of PR, press, and ads for Trespassing is still shocking to me. The lack of press  ( PRINT media, not blogs ), for Queenbert and Divas and more, in the states hurt him.  The lack of radio play, and the singles chosen were unfortunate.

Whenever one of those people checks out anything new by Adam, they all, to a person, are thrilled I gave them the info and love what they heard.

He did get good coverage of CD reviews, and Rolling Stone was his friend, so that’s at least something.

  • Axxxel

Maybe he will sing a new song on this short tour ? Maybe that Rihanna song ? Maybe his own song ? It also strikes me that he did not call it the “Trespassing” tour…

  • Axxxel

Can I push your “like” button a hundred thousand times ??

Adam Lambert did secure his presence on internet with all those interviews, polls and tweets…

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

Yes, Trespassing era is over. People need to move on. I will enjoy this short tour and wait for album 3.

  • milwlovesadam

     Sure!! LOL!!

Adam is such a victim.  America just hates him.

  • Caro3278sweet

Nah. America doesn’t hate Adam. They don’t know about him and don’t really care.

I love Adam and his voice and his talent and his glam. But he is 31 years old. By the time new music hits radio, he will be 32. If he aims for pop relevance like he did with Trespassing, he’ll have a hard road.

I still predict that Adam will be on Broadway at some point and be a huge success.

  • bridgette12

Adam has said several times how he enjoys doing his own music and performing it on tour to adoring fans. I think Broadway might have to wait a while. Why give up being able to travel the world doing your own music and going back to the theater doing some someone else music.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

May be one day he’ll do a Broadway gig as a side project but I don’t see it anytime soon. I don’t think he needs to aim for pop relevance but put out music that he wants and fans wants. His road isn’t going to be any harder than Idols not name Kelly or Carrie. None of them other than the reigning champ is burning up the charts. He’s doing the same thing they all are doing and that is working his butt off to get his name out there. I think he’s actually doing quite well filling those concert seats without the radio play. Some should be so lucky.

  • HKfan

“Tresspassing era is over” not even a full year lasted, and I think this CD is incredible.  Wonder what kind of music Adam will go after…. His dance music never took off, and the lyrics were a problem also.  If he goes heavy M, I’m ready… But, on the other hand, I don’t think radio DJ’s will play his music…

  • Nadine_Bitch

or you’d be lucky if you could still preserve your voice/range, and sing like he does when you’re in your 31. In Adam’s case, I think he gets even better the 4 years I followed his career.

aside from Justin Timberlake, those guys you list are not really  pop artists. And JT’s been around since he was a teenager.

I personally don’t think Adam’s age is a big deal. For whatever reason, radio hasn’t really responded to his current stuff. Hell, Kris is 27 and Archie is what, 21?…radio didn’t respond to their new music, either. And I’m sure there are lots of artists in their early 20′s who can’t get pop radio play.

Why would he go heavy metal? He’s never even expressed an interest in that.

  • Mateja Praznik

Most artists on this list established themselves years ago when they were younger. Except for Nicki Minaj, who broke through just a few years ago.

It’s not problematic to turn 30 when you are established. Problems start around 40 for popstars.

Adam didn’t establish himself with his debut album and his career was badly managed since Idol.

  • irockhard

I’ve never seen any indication that Adam is interested in metal and I would advise him not to go in that direction if he was. Same goes for hard & alt. rock, which also require years of paying your dues. Adam is already too old to start at the bottom of the rock n roll ladder, and they will make him start at the bottom. Also IMO he doesn’t have the voice for metal, it’s too polished, not enough grit in his tone. I think he should return to doing pop rock as he had moderate success with that during his first era.

  • irockhard

Half of those you listed are not pop.

Of those listed who are the difference is they all established themselves when they were younger, in some cases much younger (Beyonce, Christina & Britney). That’s the problem, that Adam is still not established at his age and as he gets older his chances decrease.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

Radio isn’t embracing any Idols other than Kelly and Carrie. Even Daughtry is having problems. Adam isn’t going to do Heavy Metal or Hard Rock.  The only Idol that has been embraced by rock radio is Phillip. The rest of the idols are CHR/HAC only.

  • Mateja Praznik

Touring? Oh come on. Touring is just another aspect of recording artist’s career. If you want to be a local band, then yes, touring is the way to build a fanbase. if you are a pop singer on a major label, establishing yourself means that you need hit singles on the radio.

Adam isn’t doing a proper US tour because his sophomore album didn’t sell well or produce any hit singles. He and his team figured that it’s better for him to go back to the studio. Fans are obviously not happy with that because they got used to the idea of 100+ tour dates that both Adam and Cook did their first era.

At the end of the day, all aspects of recording artist’s career are connected. You can’t tour much without hit singles and decent album sales. Being on a reality show and having one or two hit singles after that also isn’t enough to be able to tour comfortably for the rest of your life.

I just think season 7 and 8 Idols were badly managed. I think after Carrie’s and Daughtry’s massive debut eras with 5 or more hit singles in a row, 19 got used to the idea of doing long tours for new idols right after debut album release. The problem is, season 7 and 8 idols didn’t have 5 or more big hits on their debut albums or massive album sales. It would make more sense to do shorter tours, return to the studio faster and all that.

  • irockhard

Daughtry’s sound is stale and post grunge Americana rawk is dying that’s why he’s fading.

PP did no better at rock radio than Daughtry or James, Home briefly appeared on the alt. rock chart then disappeared, AAA is not a rock format.

There are Urban AC, Country and CCM Idols too.

Adam is not an indie/niche artist, he needs radio hits to get established.

  • HKfan

NCOE did well on the dance chart in the US I think,

  • HKfan

    Congrats asif…so happy for you:))))

  • HKfan

And Goyte, he only broke through last year, I’m assuming at the grand old age of 31…and Nate Ruess only broke through last year aged 30….

  • Mateja Praznik

Gotye is Belgian-Australian alternative artist. He’s been around for 10 years.
STIUTK was the biggest song of 2012, but the problem is, that song is not really a representative of Gotye’s usual work. That’s why the follow-up single didn’t do anything significant. So, I wouldn’t say Gotye broke through. One song is just one song.

Nate Ruess is a part of a band, also more alternative.

Adam wants to be a popstar.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

Adam doesn’t need radio hits to get established. Since pop radio isn’t playing his music he’s going to establish himself by word of mouth. People need to get off the Adam needs to be a popstar. Just like James who hasn’t had a hit song or radio play he will built his fanbase by touring.

  • Karen C

The problem is, season 7 and 8 idols didn’t have 5 or more big hits on their debut albums or massive album sales. It would make more sense to do shorter tours, return to the studio faster and all that.

What they should have done is release more singles from the debut albums.   There were other songs that would have done well on all the albums, and the previous singles and albums were doing well, but they only had released 2 or 3 singles for all of them.

  • Mateja Praznik

James went indie right after idol and is in rock/metal genre. He and Adam are two completely different artists. And to be honest, I think Durbin is still very very far from establishing himself in rock genre.

Adam doesn’t need to be a popstar. He wants to be a popstar. He wants his songs to be played on CHR radio, wants to be in the same circle of artists.

He also can’t reach a lot of new fans by touring in small venues. He would have to tour non stop in very small venues all across America and the only result of all that would be years of wasted time, ruined vocal chords and no desired result.

  • Mateja Praznik

I don’t know about Cook, but Adam didn’t have any viable singles left on his debut album after IIHU. I’m writing that as a listener of pop radio.

I think Cook could have another single or two from his album, but I guess RCA didn’t see the point because CBTM didn’t light up the charts exactly and dance pop was on the way in.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

The music industry is changing rapidly. Labels are no longer going to be depending on radio for their artists. They are tired of paying off PDs to play artists and by bribing them they have to be selective in which artists they
all willing to spend their money on radio hits for a return.

Labels care less about radio/paying radio. Who you pay off in music is changing

Streaming, not downloading, is the future

Artists used to be owned. Now they’re partner

Monetizing experiences is the way things are moving

New artists want to be the owners of their work…social media gives artists more leverage to be owner

Artists are being pushed more now by labels to promote themselves through social media.

Billboard has already started inacting changes on how artists popularity are viewed.

Vevo by removing bot streaming to get a better accuracy of Artists streaming will count towards billboard charts.

Two different artists, two different revenue streams(in thousands)

    Gotye
    Streaming $721k
    Track Download $680k
    CD $417K
    Album $406K

    Adele
    Streaming $144K
    Track Download $141K
    Album $1,o92K
    CD $4,555K

Labels will no longer be relying on radio, singles, and album sales as their only revenue.

  • Axxxel

Thank you asifclueless… I can’t believe that I will be able to see Adam in less than a month singing live ! Ticket is already in my hands since January.I have already seen him in  Singapore 2 years ago, but that was in open air… This time it is indoors in a mall.. I will go with one semi-fan and another full-fan..
asifclueless…don’t wear him out too much, we still want a piece of him in Jakarta !!

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

I don’t agree with you Mateja. What did you think artists did  once upon a time. Before corporate radio took over artists spend years touring and building their fans the old fashion way. It took 3,4,5 albums before they became huge success. It was never about the first album going huge and you become a superstar overnight. Most of the artists today don’t even last after 5yrs after getting 1, or 2 huge albums. They all fade.

ETA: Adam does not fit the typical pop mode.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

Adam doesn’t need to be a popstar. He wants to be a popstar. He wants
his songs to be played on CHR radio, wants to be in the same circle of
    artists.

He never said any of that. He said he wants to make pop music. If pop radio never plays him what you think he’ll do. Go Country? He’ll continue making the music he wants with radio on board or not.

  • irockhard

James performed at Rock on the Range, was named of the 100 Greatest Living Rock Stars by Revolver Mag and was nominated for best vocalist at the Golden Gods Awards last year – he has recognition in his market. He’s not established yet but he’s not “very very far from establishing himself.” He just turned 24 so he’s still young and still has plenty of time to establish himself, so far he’s exactly where he should be and his career is moving at the pace it should be.

  • irockhard

Has Adam said anything about the direction of his 3rd album?

I think pop/rock or alt./pop would be a good direction for him as WWFM was his biggest hit so it makes sense for him to go back to what worked for him.

Linkin Park meets Foster the People would be a good sound for him, it suits his voice, his performance style, will enable him to build a bit of a name for himself in the alt. world and get him the odd radio hit.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

Adam has several international nominations including a Grammy. Big Deal.  Adam’s flop album and 3 flop singles sold more albums and that’s without radio play. James is far, far from establishing himself.James will be lucky to sell 50k albums total because his fanbase isn’t there anymore. His fans couldn’t even get his Christmas single to chart. That tells you something right there. Hardcore fans will buy anything to help their Idol. With no radio play he’s got a tough road ahead of him. Wasn’t Carly Smithson from “We are the Fallen” another Idol that got dropped by Wind Up. She came with an Idol fanbase and a more establish group and got dropped from low sales.

  • mmb

Adam just finished what appears to have been a very successful concert at a nice sized (3k +) venue in Seoul, Korea. Sang a few new songs – Stay, Underneath, Dragon Attack- and even dusted off For Your Entertainment. But given that he is, apparently, too old to be establishing his career now, perhaps he should just cancel the rest of his tour and retire. Im sure the tens of thousands of ticket holders wont care, given his advanved age and all. Does RCA know that he is 31??? If so, why is he still on their label when he has no chance of ever enjoying any kind of success?? i really wish that someday Adam could have a number 1 album, a top ten single, a Grammy nomination, and be able to fill large venues for concerts. Oh wait- he’s already done that. Guess i’ll just look forward to album #3 and everything else that is to come in the future

  • Karen C
I don’t know about Cook, but Adam didn’t have any viable singles left on his debut album after IIHU. I’m writing that as a listener of pop radio.

I think there were quite a few that could have been singles, including Sleepwalker, and Aftermath.  It still would have been better to release more songs.

I think Cook could have another single or two from his album, but I guess RCA didn’t see the point because CBTM didn’t light up the charts exactly and dance pop was on the way in.

CBTM did reach the top 10 on HAC, and went gold sometime after that, so it did do well for a single.

If it is true that dance pop was gaining popularity, then a year later, they definately should have released more songs with Adam.

  • Karen C

The music industry is changing rapidly. Labels are no longer going to be depending on radio for their artists. They are tired of paying off PDs to play artists and by bribing them they have to be selective in which artists they all willing to spend their money on radio hits for a return.

I agree with you, and that’s where I think the Idols could do well, because they have such a large fanbase from the show.   However, at least around 2008-2009, they did release more singles for most new artists when their albums had the same level of success that the Idols did.  Streaming may be the future but wasn’t so prevelant in the past, and releasing more singles might have helped some of the Idols get more established during their first albums.

  • Karen C

I think if Adam went more in a rock or pop rock direction, it would be something more like Muse.  The lead singer even wrote a song on his first album, and he is a big fan of theirs.  This would really show off his voice, and they are are also one of the closest to Queen that is out now.

ETA: And I’m not saying he should do this. He should do what he wants.

And they may be ‘alternative’ but there songs were at the top of the pop charts, and being played on top 40 radio stations..
So its OK to be over 30 if you are part of a band, but not if you’re a solo artist?
Adam has said sales and airplay aren’t as important to him as the music and his fans.

  • irockhard

MOABD’s sales total to over 150k according to James publicist, Trespassing sold around 170k, that’s not much more and he got a crap load more promo than James got. James sold over 50k copies of MOABD with only 4 months of touring and without any airplay, he didn’t even have a single at the time. That is bloody fantastic by his market’s standards.

Grammy nominations? Have you heard of Halestorm? Their song Love Bites won best hard rock/metal song this year yet no one outside the hard rock/metal world knows this as they weren’t showcased at the awards at all because hard rock/metal is considered a niche genre. Recognition in the genre itself is what matters to these artists and James has that, mainstream recognition is just gravy.

James Christmas single? Really? He got a few positive write ups on some rock blogs for it but no one should expect a Christmas song to make a significant contribution especially one that is a cover and wasn’t even a real single to begin with. He recorded that for fun and just threw it out there, he didn’t have to do that.

Carly Smithson’s band We Are The Fallen were signed to Universal Republic not Wind-up. Universal Republic is a major label.

  • YankeeFan08

Sounds like it was a great show in Seoul!

    @adamlambert
Seoul! What an amaaaaaazing audience. Singing along so fabulously to all the songs!! We had so much fun with you!

Apparently the set list consisted of 18 songs and included Stay and Dragon attack.  Can’t wait for videos.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

When James gets his own thread we can discuss his career.

  • jpfan2

“It would make more sense to do shorter tours, return to the studio faster and all that.”
I agree 100%. Endless touring did Cook no favors (other than in the pocketbook). It’s more important to get new music out there. I’m a little surprised that Adam didn’t do more US shows for Trespassing though. He def has enough fans to support some Hard Rock size venues (in big cities) for example. I’m guessing the financials didn’t work for some reason.

  • irockhard

That could work too or fun.

  • irockhard

I’m not the one who brought his touring into the discussion, j/s.

  • Mateja Praznik

Gotye’s song was an international hit way before it became a hit in the US. Considering this one big hit is different from what Gotye usually does, it’s highly unlikely he will have another song on CHR charts anytime soon.

Just because alternative songs are now constantly crossing over to CHR doesn’t mean that those songs are now any less alternative. Who knows, two years from now CHR could be “alternative free” zone again.

It’s OK to be 30 if you established yourself as CHR radio staple in your teens or early twenties.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

You brought James name up first like you do in every Idols thread. j/s

  • irockhard

    Nope you did:

Since his name was brought up just like James who hasn’t had a hit song or radio play he will built his fanbase by touring.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

    You said:
PP did no better at rock radio than Daughtry or James, Home briefly
appeared on the alt. rock chart then disappeared, AAA is not a rock
    format.

Was James even played on rock radio? I remember HAC only.

    I said:
Since his name was brought up just like James who hasn’t had a hit song or radio play he will built his fanbase by touring.

    You said:
James performed at Rock on the Range, was named of the 100 Greatest
Living Rock Stars by Revolver Mag and was nominated for best vocalist at
the Golden Gods Awards last year – he has recognition in his market.
He’s not established yet but he’s not “very very far from establishing
himself.” He just turned 24 so he’s still young and still has plenty of
time to establish himself, so far he’s exactly where he should be and
his career is moving at the pace it should be.

  • Emmy
  • irockhard

You’re the one who brought up James’ sales and touring, that’s what lead to this off topic discussion.

Was James even played on rock radio? I remember HAC only.

Yes he was, Active Rock played Stand Up.

  • justmefornow

You are right, Active Rock was playing Stand Up at the same time HAC was playing Love Me Bad. Both songs charted and hung around for months.
Here’s when Stand Up first broke top 50 on Active Rock..

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

LOL, How far did it chart? Did you know “Time For Miracles” was played on Active Rock radio. That was on the album too and a side project for the movie 2012.

  • bridgette12

Let’s get back  to what’s important, Adam’s  tour. Sounded like his concert in Korea went great. I can’t wait to see   the videos, especially wanted to see his performance of  Stay.

  • justmefornow

I think it topped out in the low 30′s somewhere, I’m not sure exactly.
Here’s when it broke top 40…..

    http://www.mjsbigblog.com/monday-morning-mediabase-update-jan-16-22.htm

  • MellyPer1692

    Wow, great crowd in Seoul!!!

I love that he gets to do these concerts away from the US, what an adventure for him!

    http://t.co/iorRaBlX

  • bridgette12

That was a great song list, I saw that Underneath and Stay both were back to back and I’m sure that was a very spine chilling moment. From the tweets I’ve seen, I don’t think this is going to be Adam’s last time in Korea.

I also love to see him perform in foreign countries, it’s amazing how music cross borders and make an impact on people who’s first language isn’t English.
It has to be the coolest moment for any artist to go thousands of miles to perform before a audience who’s new and different.

  • MellyPer1692

    Lol

@Sroczka79: LOL HOLY SHIT FANS WENT CRAZY :)))) http://youtu.be/26kBLO5vyno

Yep, Bridgette and then to have the foreign fans be able to sing every song?? He must be so thrilled!

  • http://twitter.com/TarheelShari Sharon S.

    Stay:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kVzvIajl_rA

Sound quality is poor, but his vocal is still gorgeous.  Entitled fan here hoping that a better video will come along.

Adam’s ~advanced age doesn’t seem to be such a huge hurdle internationally, if  the photos and videos we’ve seen have been any indication.  Young fans are responding to him very well – his overseas, mainly non-Idol fan base looks much more like that of most pop stars.  As for radio, all I’ll say is that Adam presented RCA with great material, and IMO the single choices did a lot of harm.  Maybe he’d have gotten airplay with a lead single like “Cuckoo” – which was pretty much universally lauded when the album was being previewed by music journalists – rather than BTIKM.  Especially if it hadn’t been thrown out like a bad penny during the holiday freeze, getting the entire era off to a crappy start.  Unfortunately, we’lll never know.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

Audience goes crazy!! Adam Lambert Entrance AX Korea, Seoul 2013.
Can the fans even hear Adam?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26kBLO5vyno&feature=youtu.be

oh, and you are wondering why the video is so shaky? That was me trying
to fight for my life.’ – the guy videotaping the concert. lol

  • bridgette12

I can’t even imagine for Adam or any artist to go somewhere and they are singing alone to every song. It has to be a humbling but also a ego tripping moment that his fans in Korea know and love his music. I think artist live for  a moment like this, great energy and enthusiasm from an adoring crowd who are loving you performing for them.

  • bridgette12

We have got to get some better video, because it sounded like they were totally freaking out. I do have to say from what I have seen of the stage, it looked great. Love the black and yellow stripes every where and the stage looked pretty big, so he and the dancers had plenty of room to move around.

  • Axxxel

HHmmm, have to get used to this reggae version of Outlaws of Love… I still prefer the ballad version.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

It’s Bieber Fever. My Goodness. Based on some pictures so many guys and so young!! I feel old. lol. I’m not expecting perfection. Adam always gets better with each show once he works out the kinks. The Russians and Finns are going to tear the roof off.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

Don’t see Adam singing on or winning any Grammy’s! (J/K) :)

More power to him on his Glamily tour.

  • YankeeFan08

    Stay and Underneath are STUNNING!

  • girlygirltoo

Love love love his cover of Stay. And I’m so happy he did Underneath, because that may be my favorite song on the album.

The only thing I want to complain about is that the swaybots were a little distracting in that video :)

Looked like a great crowd, though

  • girlygirltoo

Phillip hasn’t been embraced by rock radio. Triple A format is not rock radio.

  • irockhard

Are you sure it was Active Rock and not Alt. Rock or Mainstream Rock? Active Rock only plays hard rock.

  • http://twitter.com/shoriagirl Shoriagirl

     Korea is not in Europe.

  • gferna

    WWFM… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgUsDgviv_g
great song, but FEVER, PYU, AFTERMATH, SLEEPWALKER, MUSIC AGAIN, STRUT were viable singles also…  the lyric of some songs was the problem…
I don’t see why Adam can’t have a crowd like that in the US…

  • bridgette12

Wow! I loved Stay and Underneath was the best yet. I wish I could have been there to hear it live.

  • mmb

Adam does have crowds like this in the US, (or at least of the same size if not intensity – that Korean crowd looked pretty wild)

  • milwlovesadam

I’m shredded. Adam was in mega-vocal form at this show. My G-d, who else sings like this? Stay and Underneath? Killer.

    Off to watch more…

  • gferna

But why nobody wants to risk money on a US tour?

  • bridgette12

I am looking forward to the rest of the tour also, but I do have to say, by looking at those videos, the tour started off with a bang. What a way to begin, the Korean audience was nuts, and I’m sure it’s only going to get crazier.

  • Nadine_Bitch

”I don’t see why Adam can’t have a crowd like that in the US…”

I really don’t understand what you mean. I obviously haven’t gone to any Adam’s concert but watched a tons of video. The crowd went nuts, sing a long, dancing, jumping whether his doing concert in or outside US.

  • http://twitter.com/svmreiter Susan Reiter

He has not been to some of these countries with Glamnation / FYE songs and if you see the set list it’s easy to see why it’s not a Trepassing tour.  He sings songs from FYE, the idol tour, and Gonna Go My Way, Stay, etc.  plus, of course, the Trepassing songs.  Something other than Trepassing Tour just makes sense!

  • http://twitter.com/TarheelShari Sharon S.

It might not be a matter of nobody wanting to “risk money” on a U.S. tour – it’s undoubtedly more a matter of Adam, his label and his management believing it’s more important for Adam to get back into the studio.  He could probably rack up good numbers touring the U.S. to his existing fan base, but it wouldn’t benefit him beyond the money he’d make.  I don’t know what the anticipated time line is for getting new music out, but if he began work right after the international dates, it isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could release an album by year end – especially if RCA is laying the groundwork while he’s gone.  Considering he really hasn’t had a meaningful U.S. radio presence since IIHY in the summer of 2010, he’d be well served to get new music out as soon as he can.

FWIW, I’d be shocked if he didn’t do some one-offs in the U.S., and maybe Canada, throughout the year.  He loves to perform, and he can still get a meaningful number of butts in seats to watch him do it.

  • mjsbigblog

    Reminder:

Please keep this thread on topic–which is Adam Lambert’s recent tour.

    And here’s a tip:

If you mention other Idols in your comments? Their stans are going to show up to annoy you.

    Again, stay on topic, please.

  • lovetheusa1776

Lambert’s one of the finest live performers in the world today.
Few have his combination of voice, beauty, grace, and magnetism.
Just hope he’s able to tour in the U.S. again – hate flying.

  • http://twitter.com/shoriagirl Shoriagirl

I think Adam can have this size crowd in the US, it’s just not going to be this age crowd. Adam doesn’t like older fans. He wants young and hip crowd.

  • bridgette12

considering the fact that there are Idols who can’t pull in a thousand fans, whether it’s in the US or overseas, Adam is grateful for any person who’s willing to fork over their hard earned money, no matter what age. No one get’s to pick and choose who likes their music or who attends their concert, because  it’s all a matter of free choice.

  • girlygirltoo

I doubt Adam doesn’t like older fans. The older fans are some of his most loyal ones — it would be pretty silly to dislike them.

Adam could have done a US tour, but he wouldn’t be playing to as big crowds as he  does when he goes overseas. And looking at some of the ticket prices for these international tours, I would bet he makes far more $ touring overseas than he would if he toured in the US right now.

However, I’m sure he will do a US tour to support album #3. Patience :D

  • Nadine_Bitch

    ”Adam doesn’t like older fans.”

Adam has said something like that? Everyone knows he needs more diverse crowd especially in the US(though I think his US audience was diverse enough) but Adam would never dislike older fans. They made up mostly of his fanbase and Adam is well aware of that. If anything, I believe he’s more of grateful for them for standing by him.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/HWRPW434YQTROZ3J5E4BSLWEYM H.A.

Lol,That’s not true. He likes his older fans. He has plenty of younger US fans. His fanbase is very diverse. Black, White, Latino, gay, straight, male, female, young and old. It all depends on what city or venue he’s playing. He does have a larger older fanbase in US though because they came with Idol but NGL they throw boatloads of $$$ at him. They’re also a lot of fun.

  • seashellz51

Wow… I am just blown away at Adams’ cover of ‘Stay’ and I love the way it goes right into ‘Underneath’. Beautiful! Amazing singing. Love the Korean fans and their love for Adam singing all of the songs. A great way to kick off this international tour!

This is what Adam said about meeting his fans in RS interview:

“When I go to radio stations and meet fans, it’s retail in the most fucked-up way. What I am so grateful for this year, is I didn’t have to do anything except work on the album”

  • gferna

Seriously, how dare some of these people get up there and entertain us?

  • milwlovesadam

Why is this turning into the “who are Adam’s fans meme?” Again. I’m so over it. He has said in countless interviews how much he loves his fans of all ages, how he feels like they/we have his back, how they/we support him so much.

Can we just enjoy the show videos without feeding on ourselves?

    Just sick of this meme.

Are these youku’s videos stalling about a minute in, but the audio continues?

  • lovetheusa1776

Well, half a world away and that voice comes through vividly and thrillingly.  Chokehold, Broken English, Fever – just holy toledo – the vocals are mindboggling.

  • Nadine_Bitch

Were there any ”Broken English” you tube videos?

*please, please, let there be a clear vid of BE*

  • lovetheusa1776

Apparently they’re working on better vids and YTs.  And a big WOW to BE – pure dynamite – could hear the crowd going nuts.

There’s some weird thing going on my computer, I can’t watched that yuoku vids. It’s apparently blocked in my country(vevo & vh1 too). Anyway, BE is one of my fave and I’m hoping those YT vids would pop out the time I wake up. Going to retire now… Adios!
