I’m happy for Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He’s a very talented actor. Sad to see “Community” get snubbed again.

Ricky Gervais alone makes this must see tv.  Love him hosting.

OMG Johnny got the actor nomination and not Jim for BBT? OMG! That is sooooo awesome!

I’m happy for Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He’s a very talented actor.

ITA!  I’ve seen almost everything he’s done since 3rd Rock from the Sun.  Never a bad performance from him yet.

  • YeahRight

OMG Johnny got the actor nomination and not Jim for BBT? OMG! That is sooooo awesome!

Over Jim Parsons who’s won two Emmys already and makes the show worth watching.  Crazy.

That Hollywood Foreign Press really don’t know what they’re doing.  Nominating Eric Stonestreet over Ty Burrell; Sofia Vergara over Julie Bowen.  Bryan Cranston, yay!  But no Aaron Paul?

Sad to see “Community” get snubbed again.

Community will always get snubbed.  It just isn’t the kind of show that gets nominated for awards, even though it should be.

Where the F is Dexter?! Sometimes I wonder if winning a Golden Globe is actually a credible accomplishment when I look at some of the nominees. On the other hand, glad to see Glee shut out for the most part. That show needs to be stopped.

Who votes on these nominations? At first glance I spotted at least 3 movies that haven’t even been released beyond maybe a few festival screenings… Could they really have been seen by enough voters to garner nominations?

  • YeahRight

The voters get screeners sent out to them.  That’s how they see the movies ahead of release and nominate them.

    Where the F is Dexter?!

These couple of seasons of Dexter haven’t been very good, that’s probably why.  The first season of Dexter was the best, and should have won tons of award, but it was too shocking at the time I suppose.  Later seasons were never as good as the first season.

I really more surprised that Breaking Bad isn’t nominated for Best Television Drama, it’s been the best TV show for the last few years.   Perhaps it isn’t that surprising, some of the TV best shows like The Wire were never nominated in Golden Globe.  They better don’t give it to Boardwalk Empire, some episodes were just downright messy, and they killed the only interesting character.   Let’s hope Game of Throne wins it.

It’s great that Homeland got so many nominations. It’s not the kind of show I normally watch, but I saw the first episode by chance and I’ve been hooked ever since. It is probably one of the best TV shows I’ve watched in a long time and has a terrific plot that keeps you guessing. I’m pleasantly surprised by Claire Danes’ acting skills too. Peter Dinklage in Game of Thrones and Madeline Stowe in Revenge are also well-deserving of the nomination.

I haven’t seen most of those movies, but I’m happy to see Joseph-Gordon-Levitt on the list of nominees. Didn’t really see the Bridesmaids appeal, but I would have expected Melissa McCarthy to get nominated before Kristin Wiig.

My husband and I just discovered The Big Band Theory and we love it He pretty much hates everything on TV except sports,CNBC , and Animal planet,so it’s nice to actually watch something together. Jim is a comedic genius and reminds me of Charlie Chaplin. While the others are all good,Jim is the show and not to nominate him is crazy.
I love Downton Abbey and hope it wins, I haven’t seen Mildred Pierce yet  but loved the old movie and the book. James Cain wrote that ,The POstman Always Rings Twice, And Double Imdemnity, all of which became classic movies.
