Weekend Countdown Shows – 12/18/10

Every weekend, there are countless countdown shows. VH1’s top 20 videos. Ryan’s American Top 40. Rick Dee’s Weekly Top 40 and many more. If you find an Idol on one of these shows, please post it here!

The VH1 thread has already been posted here. So, that is the one verboten numbers related subject on this thread.

This is the general numbers thread for the weekend. So, if you find some cool numbers, this is the thread for posting them.

  1. Mediabase made some big changes today.

CHR/TOP 40 monitored panel now has 151 stations. Yesterday it had what? 141, 142 stations? Pulse Forum has a list of added stations. These changes also mean some BIG changes to bullets. Kary Perry’s “Firework” currently has +2571 bullet.

    TOP 40 Chart

HAC monitored panel now has only 90 stations. I’m a bit surprised, this panel usually had 100, 101 stations.

Rhythmic monitored panel now has 87 stations.

Some HAC stations switched to playing all Christmas music, so they’ll be added back after the holidays.

  3. FD is #8 on overall albums on iTunes. Hopefully it holds on for at least another day. I see Lee’s album at #162 and the rest of the Top 200 albums on iTunes looks Idol free for now.

  4. Sleepwalker has broken into Top 30 on Canada’s HAC charts and has a pretty healthy bulllet:

    37 28 ADAM LAMBERT Sleepwalker 206 151 55 1.797

    Great news…Thanks CindyM

  7. Yessss! Go Sleepwalker! I can’t believe it is doing so well without the radio edit. Thank CinyM.

  8. The duet with Jason is really going to work out for Kelly. Not only is it going to be a big big hit, it’s doing a great job of filling up some time while Kelly has to wait for the executive shuffle at the label to get her next album going.

  9. CMT Pure 12-Pack countdown

#5 Danny – I Will Not Say Goodbye
    #8 Jason Aldean w/Kelly – Don’t You Wanna Stay

This may be the first week Kelly made it with Jason. Kind of weird Carrie hasn’t been on this one the past couple of weeks, usually she does very very well every week.

  10. That’s awesome about “Don’t You Wanna Stay”. Nice. Very nice for Kelly.

Do we know if there were any Idols on VH1’s Top 20 countdown?

  11. SashaB, there was no VH1 Top 20 countdown today. It’s on vacation until January. They did have the VH1 Top 40 for 2010 last night. The chart is posted in the Top 40 thread.

  12. Yay Sleepwalker! Canada has shown Adam lots of love. I wish it were released as a single in the US-I’d sure love to see the video Adam would make for this song.
What a fabulous year he has had!

  13. Do we know if there were any Idols on VH1’s Top 20 countdown?

I was actually wondering if they were going to release the results for this week since they have Top 40 of 2010 instead. The list for this week was never put up on VH1 so my guess is probably not. However, Lee’s “Sweet Serendipity” was at #12 and Fantasia’s “I’m Doin’ Me” was at #19 last week. And Lee tweeted a couple days ago that the video was at #4 so we can probably safely say that SS would have been on the Top 40 if it had aired.

  14. girlygirl:
    Yay, Canada loves Adam :)

I’m sure the reverse is also true, but I’m still surprised and a bit disappointed that no regular GNT shows were scheduled there. I hope Adam begins his next tour in Canada. They deserve that, IMO.

  15. Nice Adam news from New Zealand….

“Fever” stayed at #4 on the New Zealand Airplay Chart.
TW 4 LW 4 Weeks on 7 Fever
    Adam Lambert SonyMusic

Also in its 11th week on the digital sales chart at #40.

Really makes me wonder what would have happened if they released Fever in Canada.

Thank you for saying that. I was really disappointed that Canada only got two shows and neither were GNT but had most songs anyway. But hopefully we’ll have a cross-country tour next time. :-)

  17. Adam could easily do a small promo tour to Canada after christmas since they have SW charting there. Canada top40 could use some insentive to start spinning it more.

  18. I was reading that if Archies Have yourself a merry little Christmas had not gone recurrent it would be “#8 297 280″… That is fun for a Christmas song.

I find this awesome considering there was no promo and no radio edit…go SW go

I am guessing the results from this weeks Top 20 Countdown will be aired the week it comes back from hiatus.

  20. And Lee tweeted a couple days ago that the video was at #4 so we can probably safely say that SS would have been on the Top 40 if it had aired.

How would Lee know where his video is ranked prior to the results being aired? What top 40 chart are you referencing? I doubt SS would be on the year-end Top 40 chart since it has not been out that long.

  21. I think she was referring to the regular weekly countdown show, which resumes Jan. 8.

  22. Mateja
haha thanks for that link haha gotta love social media makes things sound soooo important

  23. Yay for so many Idols making Rick Dees Hot AC Top 40 of 2010

As for Lee’s tweet, I think if you go on the VH1 site it has a list of what videos are getting the most views that week…but that doesn’t necessarily correspond to where the videos will be in the Top 20 countdown

  24. Thanks, girlygirl, I was wondering what that tweet meant-I knew they don’t annouce countdown results in advance. I’m glad the video is getting so many views-it was directed by the the same guy who directed Train’s Soul Sister video.

  25. How would Lee know where his video is ranked prior to the results being aired? What top 40 chart are you referencing? I doubt SS would be on the year-end Top 40 chart since it has not been out that long.

That was a typo on my part. I meant Top 20 countdown on VH1, not the year end. My bad.

As for how he could possibly have known, I have no idea. I was just reporting what he had said.

  26. Yay-still moving up! I don’t think another song has passed it since it enter the HAC chart.

  27. Ricky D’s Top40 2010 chart is also on Pulse. WWFM just barely made the chart at #38. I did not see any other idols on it, but I could have missed them. Quite a few songs placed much lower than I would have expected, so I was pleased that WWFM made the cut.

  28. I thought Ke$ha had the #1 Pop song of 2010 (according to Mediabase). I’m confuzzled.

  29. This is part of the 2010 Top40 CHR chart from Rick D’s that is on Pulse

    1 Tik Tok (4wks #1) Ke$ha
    2 Bad Romance (3wks #1) Lady Gaga
3 In My Head (2wks #1) Jason Derulo
4 Break Your Heart (2wks #1) Taio Cruz & Ludacris
5 Airplanes BoB f/ Bruno Mars
    6 Dynamite (2wks #1) Taio Cruz
7 California Gurls (3wks #1) Katy Perry & Snoop Dogg
    8 Telephone (3wks #1) Lady Gaga/Beyonce
    9 Replay IYAZ
    10 Sexy Chick David Guetta

There are two charts there labeled year end one on dec 4, and the other posted today with slight differences-but the last one does show Ke$ha as #1

  30. For those interested in AWM airplay, KRSK in Portland looks to have put AWM in regular rotation as of Saturday. There were overnight spins each of the last two nights plus a daytime spin yesterday. AWM is currently around ~35 spins away from #50 on HAC.

I also saw a tweet saying AWM was used coming out of or going into a commercial break on Fox News this morning.

  31. Sunday iTunes (Crystal & Lee only — didn’t check on anyone else)

    #229 Farmer’s Daughter
    #686 For What It’s Worth
    #653 Sweet Serendipity

    albums

    #10/#235 Farmer’s Daughter
    #189 Live It Up

  32. AT40 for HAC from Pulse:

LW TW Wks Artist – Title
01 01 (11) Bruno Mars – Just The Way You Are (3rd week at #1)
    02 02 (20) Neon Trees – Animal
    04 03 (17) OneRepublic – Secrets
    05 04 (08) Pink – Raise Your Glass
    03 05 (16) Katy Perry – Teenage Dream
    06 06 (24) Lifehouse – All In
    09 07 (13) Taio Cruz – Dynamite
    07 08 (25) Daughtry – September
    12 09 (15) Plain White T’s – Rhythm Of Love
    08 10 (22) Maroon 5 – Misery

25 28 (42) Adam Lambert – Whataya Want From Me

    36 36 (57) Kris Allen – Live Like We’re Dying

    HOUR 2
BREAKOUT (BR): Lee DeWyze – Sweet Serendipity

SS being included as one of the Breakout songs is really good news for Lee fans & adds a lot of spins this weekend. It will be interesting to see if some of the big market stations will finally get on board after the holidays.

  33. I noticed that AllAccess didn’t updated the charts for today yet. I am curious to see how many spins the #50 song on HAC has and what’s AWM current ranking on HAC.

  34. Yeah I just heard SS on my local station’s broadcast of ATop40. They also had a short call in message from Lee to introduce the song. It was before the #29 song in case anyone wants to hear it.
