US Weekly is reporting that Matchbox 20’s Rob Thomas will join The Voice as a guest mentor for Team Cee Lo Green.
Us Weekly can exclusively confirm Thomas, 40, will help guide coach Green’s contestants during the early rounds of NBC’s hit reality series. As this exclusive behind-the-scenes image shows, Thomas is already hard at work scouting talent with colleague Green, 38, and tells Us he’s thrilled to work with the music industry’s hottest new talent.
He joins Mary J. Blige on Team Adam Levine and Michael Buble on Team Blake Shelton. No word yet on which music star will be joining Team Christina Aguilera!
Recently, host Carson Daly talked about a few of the tweaks show producers are planning for the upcoming season including changes to the battle rounds and fewer finalists featured in the live rounds.
The Voice series 2 premieres on Monday September 10.
