The big news on the Idol radio front is that Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean have reached number 1 on the Mediabase Country chart. They reached this level on Billboard last week, but due to the differences in how Mediabase calculates positions on the Country chart and maneuvering by other parties, “Don’t You Wanna Stay” took until this week to reach number 1 on Mediabase. Congratulations!
Jennifer Hudson is also having a good week. Her debut single, “Where You At”, from her sophomore album reached top 10 on UAC and top 20 on Urban. Jennifer Lopez and Pittbul hit top 40 on Rhythmic with “On the Floor”. Interestingly, her song is sitting at 35 on both the Pop and Rhythmic charts.
The final milestone goes this week to Glee. No, not their original songs, but to a song that was performed last year that has backed into the top 50 on HAC. Gwyneth’s version of “Forget You” is at 49.
