Hines Ward and Kym Johnson – 59
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy – 54
Chelsea Kane has youth, energy and the chops, Hines Ward has the joy and the personality and Kirstie Alley has the talent and the determination. All 3 couples bring something worthy to this finale. But who will take the mirror ball trophy tomorrow night?
It’s gotta be Hines Ward and Kym Johnson. Hines isn’t the best dancer, but he’s fun to watch and has an appealing personality, a backstory filled with triumph and adversity and he’s a sports hero. Who can beat that? NOBODY. Steeler nation WILL PREVAIL. I had to laugh when Hines talked about the mirror ball trophy taking the place of Superbowl ring he didn’t win earlier this year. Ha.
I’ll be live-blogging Dancing with the Stars tonight as three stars compete for the mirrored trophy ball! (Tomorrow night, I’ll have a post up, but really won’t be available to live blog. Crazy crazy busy with the Idol final tomorrow).
Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas – Samba – Carrie Ann is helping the duo with their Judges choice dance. Carrie thought Chelsea’s first samba was too “perky”. Len: Every step you take…I’ll be watching you. I liked. A great number. Bruno: An ultra sexy bombshell. The rhythm was flowing through your body like I’ve never seen before. Carrie Ann: HOT HOT HOT. That is so what I was wanting for you. Down, dirt, sensual. – 1-800-868-3401 Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 9, Bruno – 10 – 29 – 1-800-868-3401 – VIDEO
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy – Samba – Bruno drops by to mentor. He’s going to fix Kirstie’s dainty little hands. Bruno: Softer, rich, full of lively pleasure. Full of womenhood. You are still looking at the floor! Carrie Ann: I love what you did. I love your movement quality. A really great samba. Len: It was appealing it was less aggressive, but had a lovely change of rhythm. It could have been a little crisper, but a great job. – Carrie Ann – 9 Len – 9 Bruno – 9 – 27 – 1-800-868-3411 – VIDEO
Hines Ward and Kym Johnson – Quickstep Len will help Hines with his feet. Point them down! Look at Kym in her neck brace. OUCH. Could Hines have a bigger smile on his face? He looks like he’s having a blast. Carrie Ann – That is so much fun! When you dance, you are able to make if feel like you’re running for a touchdown. Len: As good as that was, it’s not quite there yet. This competition is still anyone’s to win or lose. Bruno: It was like watching a mega production on Broadway, full of excitement. You connect with the audience like no one. Brilliant. – Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 9, Bruno – 10 – 29 – 1-800-868-3403 – VIDEO

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy – Maksim and Kirstie WILL be doing lifts. MAKS IS STRONG. Bruno: 10 weeks ago I would have never thought of you attempting to do lifts. Respect girl. Respect. Carrie Ann: You are the new poster child for how life should be lived at 60 years old. Len: You’ve got to risk it if you want the biscuit. I comment you. Well done. Bruno: You pulled out all the stops and created a crowd pleasing event! Carrie Ann – 10 Len – 10 Bruno – 10 – 30 – 59 – VIDEO
