American Idol 2018 Full Schedule (UPDATED 4/25!)

American Idol Green Mile Cast

American Idol has officially announced the audition cities for the show’s Sunday March 11 premiere on ABC. They are: Nashville, New York City and Los Angeles. But @IdolSpoilers (TIP) has posted a tentative schedule from sources.

Reportedly, it includes a 30 minute preview special set to air a week before on Oscars night, March 4.

Additionally, the celebrity duets the musical director Kristopher Pooley hinted at will supposedly happen during the semi-final round. This is similar to the Idol alum duets during the season 15 semi-finals in 2016.  Only this time, producers are casting their nets wider, hoping to lure in some big stars to sing with the contestants. For the final season, the Top 24 performed solos on one night, and Idol duets on another. The JUDGES chose which singers moved on to the final rounds.

According to this reported schedule, the live finals will air for six weeks, including on two Mondays. I wonder how the results and voting will be handled?

Gold Derby confirmed American Idol’s schedule for the season with ABC. There will be FIVE audition episodes rather than only 3 and FIVE weeks of live shows rather than six as previously rumored. The Grand Finale airs Monday May The schedule below has been revised. It’s still a little unclear how many weeks Hollywood and the semifinals will take, therefore the schedule is still tentative.

UPDATE: April 29 is Disney Night, according to FutonCritic. Billed as “Top 10” I’m thinking the Top 10 from the week before will all perform before an elimination at the end of the episode?

UPDATE: Full schedule via FutonCritic. Top 5 is the week before the finale. How many singers will be eliminated?

Update: The Performance Finale is a Top 3!
