More and More Taylor Hicks

More and More Taylor Hicks

Update:  Taylor talks about how his lifestyle has changed since idol (his answer: not very much) and life in general these days,  in his latest blog post fom Gray Charles:

I feel like I’m doing something, I’m putting something out there, I’m creating good vibes. I go about my music like a business – there is a demand for my stuff and I’m delivering the goods. I’m happy about that – it makes me feel good. My thinking is that music is an art but it’s also a service.

The day before Taylor Hicks performed at the City of Hope benefit,  rehearsals.com shot footage of Taylor rehearsing for the show.  Two videos from those sessions, “Hell of a Day” and “What’s Going On.” debut tomorrow on rehearsal.com’s website.

Taylor’s album drops on December 5th, and promotion for his major label debut is just ramping up.  Gray Charles, the go-to site for all things Taylor these days, posted a downloadable .pdf file that outlines the marketing plan for Taylors CD.

Upcoming appearances include Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, Oprah, Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, TNT Christmas in Washington, NBC Christmas Tree Lighting and much much more. As they say.

The publicity push includes print, TV and outdoor advertising, plus internet and retail promotions.  Tie-ins with a national Ford automobile campaign are also planned.  Looks like there’s plenty of Taylor coming around the bend…
