The X Factor UK Bootcamp took place in London at Alexandra Palace earlier this month, ahead of the Six Chair Challenge which was filmed live this week at Wembley Arena.
The judges have been assigned their categories according to Tellymix and the Daily Star: Nicole Scherzinger has The Boys, Sharon Osbourne has The Overs, Simon Cowell has The Girls and Louis Walsh has The Groups.
UPDATE: According to reports, the challenge tapings were very chaotic.
It all kicked off on Sunday evening when audience members were left waiting for three and a half hours outside of the SSE Wembley Arena because Sharon Osbourne took so long to pick six hopefuls for the Overs category.
Nicole Scherzinger’s turn at the challenge was reportedly due to start at 5pm but after Sharon overran, she was then allegedly ‘shaken’ after the audience reaction to her picks, and Nicole’s turn didn’t begin until 10.20pm.
A source close to the show has revealed that Simon then called off the process at midnight because there was ‘no crowd reaction’.
