Keep checking back to this post. Due to last night’s FOX Fiasco, the ratings will not be sorted out until later today, although I do have half hour breakdowns.  But, we do have numbers for Survivor and Nashville if you wanna peek inside.  Hint: Nashville took a dive.  Via TVByTheNumbers

On CBS, Survivor: Philippines earned a 2.7, down 4%  from last week’s 2.8 adults 18-49 rating. Criminal Minds scored a 3.1, up 3% from last week’s 3.0 adults 18-49 rating.

The second episode of Nashville garnered a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating, down a big 28% from last week’s 2.8. Fans who want to sing a sad country version of Fan Excuse Bingo can blame the American Horror Story premiere on FX since all of the 10PM shows were down.

    Oh dear…

and ABC tried everything to promote Nashville.

Looks like Revolution is the only “hit” of the season”

I think Nashville will stabilize. Well reviewed when you look at metacritic. Chicago Fire isn’t going to last much longer

  • jlscott13

Interesting. Hopefully Nashville does stabilize. I love that show.

  • Chords

Not surprised at Nashville. I love it but the Big Machine involvement with the music left a sour taste in more than just my mouth and the show is not very realistic so far.

  • chillj

Harumph!  And I really enjoyed Nashville last night (of course, I am not in the target demographic and so will not be buying any advertised products)>

  • Chris

Ouch. To lose a third of the viewers is a big kick in the pants. And the second hour fell. So people are curious but turn off. They need better writing. More drama.

  • Incipit

So people are curious but turn off.

Heh. I didn’t even turn on. I thought the writers said they were going to acknowledge that Nashville was about more than just country music, but so far, it’s just a soap opera with a country music soundtrack. dnw.

I didn’t like the first episode and “forgot” to give the next episode a second chance. Probably because tbh Hayden Panettiere always gets on my nerves. I’m not surprised the show is already in trouble. From the comments, sounds like it didn’t improve one bit.

  • mileyfan123

The actors outside of Connie Britton are the issue with the show, and Hayden is issue #1

  • OffLeash

Another Hayden fan I see? lol.

It’s funny because unlike with Panettiere, I used to loooove Eric Close before, especially in Dark Skies, but I don’t like him at all in Nashville. Weird.

Well, it was up against American Horror Story, and that wins out for me. I have nothing against Nashville. I enjoyed the first episode.  But, there was a ton of hype about the show, with TV critics calling it the next big thing. I don’t think it lived up to the hype at all, so people who tuned in to see this “fantastic” new show were probably disappointed. It’s just another night time soap.

I watched 3 things on broadcast TV – The Middle, Modern Family, and Nashville. I didn’t even remember the X Factor was on or else I would have turned it on at 9:30. I can’t stomach Suburgatory, or the Neighbors.
Nashville isn’t that great, but I love  Connie Britton since “Friday Night Lights” premiered, so I’ll stick with her show for now. The competition on CBS and NBC at 10pm is just more of the usual stuff and “Horror” is not for me.
