david’s looking good, giving great interview on the red carpet here – i hope we find out soon if he won in his two categories…..

His nickname for David is “David Effie”. Uhm. OK!

Lol. I watched Buck’s video recaps from S7 and he gave everyone nicknames – plus it helped him distinguish between the 3 Davids that season. Archie’s came from singing the “I am Telling You Song” sung by Effie on youtube.

I want to Archie to win some awards this year – I think he has a good shot among the nominated idols. (I wish he were singing his new single tonight, but I guess the world will have to wait for the first live performance)

I wish the S9 idol’s luck too, but I know the competition is stiff this year. Still from what I read, Lee and Crystal were just happy and excited to be nominated :)

And we know at least 1 idol will win tonight cause of the idol choice category!

David is looking and sounding good. You can tell he loves his fans and appreciates everything they do for him. Twitter reports all seem pretty positive for David and I think they all enjoy interviewing him. He expressed his gratitude for being nominated but wants everyone to know that he knows they are there for him even if he doesn’t win. I think 83,000 were viewing the video stream on the interview posted here.

Eh, I dont get what the huge issue is with Lee having a lot of young fans. A big majority of the friends I have who are fans of his are 25+ but if he does have a big teen base whats wrong with that? Last year they voted for Adam and Archie, and this year they voted for Lee and Archie. Kris and Cook both lost to non-WGWG’s. Lee’s the exception.

Anyhow, let’s be realistic. Not only teens vote for this. Anyone can pretend to be a teen and vote for these awards.

Lee’s barely 24 and he’s single and he’s adorable. But I think the real reason he won is because he has made himself so accessible to his fans. He’s on Twitter constantly answering questions and he makes a point to greet the fans before and after each show unless the venue won’t allow it. He received over 8000 tweets in 10 minutes during one of his recent Twitter parties. He’s got fans and they vote.

IIRC, Adam won that same category last year. Kris even joked about borrowing Adam’s surfboard after that.
